That turned out awesome. I have just got into painting plastic guns and am learning lots from you. Love your burnt metal technique, especially. Thanks, Chris! You rock!
Jayden Bonilla To be fair the torso armour is a lot more complex than armour because the chest area isnt typical armour, its more like padding, which means a complex sewing job
I really like your work. With all these inexpensive prop mods, id love to see them in a concept sci-fi video, you know, just to see what the props would look like when being used.
I imagine this is what the Chitauri (avengers) would have as their side arm/ pistol along with their primary rifle. Just has a similar style - looks awesome!
I love the way you do (almost) everything with a paint brush, rather than airbrush, etc. It gives your final projects a much cooler, more realistic finish IMO.
he should do a cool diorama...with the elctric fence (sparks),a dinosaur breaking through the wall (crumbled stones allover) to fight another one and some bystanders with a torch that lights up too
Looking really good! One thing that kinda throws me off, and it's the same with the Star Lord Blaster. Is the pink you used for the charring. I feel like a copper tint would've worked a lot better with those blues added
Its so strange seeing Chris in other forms of media that aren't his own videos 😂 was watching a Luca Brasi video and BAM there he is Then watching a Rumors music video a BABAM THERE HE IS
Looks like something the Chutauri would use. It looks awesome! If I could make a suggestion from my experience with the heat painting: Add a little gold as the last color in the transition. I did that on my Star Lord and they look great.
Chris you should deffinitely make the broken Grafflex from The Last Jedi! It would be dope to see you getting one of those child blade builders sabers and just cutting it in half and repainting it and adding the kyber crystal in the center :)
One thing I notice with the burn effect. If you are doing it on a rod for example, the anodize goes from side to side, not in the radious direction. what I'm trying to say is that you should paint the marks horizontal and not vertical, and painting that way helps you blend the colours
Hi Chris, this is beautiful mate. I'm hooked on your videos and hang out for them each week. I've used your shoe polish technique many times now ( Nordic carved armour at Oz-Comic Con last year :) ) I found that if you add a second coat of shoe polish wash in strategic areas, it will leave "Water marks" on the first coat, as seen in your reveal here. I got around it by adding a coat of clear spray paint between coats. sorry if im preaching to the choir mate. Have Fun, stay silly and keep doing it best
Hi Chris im Wayne from the UK I've been watching your RUclips channel and I've been very impressed by your work and the channel in general, I really enjoyed the weapon tutorials and I was thinking on customising the mandalorian rifle any ideas for me please
So Chris I have a question I’ve tried doing dry brushing but it always turns out to runny or not enough to use can you please make a detailed vid on how to dry brush (love your vids by the way)
hey Chris, love the video as always. I was wondering if the next time you custom a toy gun, could you maybe try a way off adding weight to it? I think the best use of these props are of course props for fan films and things like that, but the weight always seems too light to be believable to me
I just found a space pistol yesterday! I want to customize it so bad! I have to wait until I head back home to even start on it. I already have some ideas on colors. I don't know how to post it on this video chat.
Awesome job man, also do you have an email or something we can use to send you photos of stuff online ? As sending stuff overseas is a bit of pain Thanks for the videos man you produce some amazing things and have taught me a lot of techniques for weathering different materials.
Feb. 28, 2019----Thanks for the video....I downloaded it for future reference. REALLY going to piss off my nephews boy when I show it to him....and won't let him even play with or touch it.
Really? Krylon "Preserve It"? I've had bad experiences with this: tends to yellow over time and very apparent on white... Maybe it was bad batch. I don't know. But overall very nice custom paint job. It looks awesome!
Hi, I have a quick question, now I'm old and shoe polish used to be wax based, how do you manage to get the paint to stick to it... Thank you.... John...
Damnit, Chris. I was just about to do something productive and then I got your notification.
Santonio Holmes dont lie... you were waiting for that damn notification...
That turned out awesome. I have just got into painting plastic guns and am learning lots from you. Love your burnt metal technique, especially. Thanks, Chris! You rock!
This blaster looks like chitari tech from avengers
omg exactly what i was thinking
it just needs purple instead of blue
Yeah that what I was thinking when see it for the first time.
Dude you should do this more often, I love watching your turn cheep stuff into masterpieces
Still on a quest to find an awesome daredevil cosplayer, I still reckon Chris would do it perfect
Jayden Bonilla try John hay
He does d.i.ys but his budget isn’t as high as Chris’
An Ordinary Bozo John hay does good stuff for his budget, but I’d love to see a fully screen accurate cosplay
Jayden Bonilla To be fair the torso armour is a lot more complex than armour because the chest area isnt typical armour, its more like padding, which means a complex sewing job
Hamza_Boujelouah yeah fair enough man
KIWI shoe polish should sponsor you!!
rustoleum too
Driveway Dirt too
Bunnings and Kmart too
This episode is sponsored by Driveway Dirt!
cosplayers do it best should be a part of it lol
Hey, Chris, this is cool and the colour scheme made me think you should do a si-fi Batman
I really like the change up with the music Chris it’s makes the videos more refreshing
Am I the only one that likes the like black and white combo for the toy.
Love these costom vids Chris, keep up the great work.
Looks like a marvel movie prop Good Job!!
love the new paint technique😊
That gun was so detailed before the makeover. Love it even more with touch ups
I look forward to your videos so much! Thank you for making them.
I love the way you do (almost) everything with a paint brush, rather than airbrush, etc. It gives your final projects a much cooler, more realistic finish IMO.
You make doing this fun and accessible. From now on I'll always be on the look out for cheap plastic toy guns and NERF guns. Thanks Chris 🍻
Ive been watching Chris for about 3 years now and every time i hear his background music it makes me want to play Sunset Overdrive
Does anyone think the Newly designed gun Chris made, looks like a somewhat Chitari weapon? Ya know those aliens from that Avengers film?
Your profile picture is the best thing...
That's just what I was thinking what the gun looked like.
Exactly my thought while looking at the thumbnail.
I was thinking that
Looks awesome. Looks like some dope ass high tech future gun
Just watched it start to finish and.... u never fail to produce an amazing piece. Keep it up Chris! 👍🏻👍🏻
Chris you should have a crack at doing a Jurrasic Park custom collectible!
he should do a cool diorama...with the elctric fence (sparks),a dinosaur breaking through the wall (crumbled stones allover) to fight another one and some bystanders with a torch that lights up too
I reckon it'd just be cool to see a JP Custom.
one of the cars or something else in particular?
I'd hope for a dinosaur, but anything would be good.
Just another amazing job chris 😄😄😄😄
I actually really adore the shape of the original gun! I want to get one just to do a makeover myself!
Can you do some more Jaccs Specific Star Wars Custom Collectables!
Looking really good! One thing that kinda throws me off, and it's the same with the Star Lord Blaster. Is the pink you used for the charring. I feel like a copper tint would've worked a lot better with those blues added
Awesome! I bought one of these myself quite a while ago and tried to customise it a little. Yours looks waaaay better than mine.
That looks cool Chris.
I did the exact same gun a couple of weeks ago. Colour scheme was a very borderlands style
What is the name of gun?
No particular name. I just used a bright yellow instead of the gold with some weathering
What’s the brand name? I found one similar but it’s an AR version
YEA WHATS THE NAME OF THE TOY GUN
Awesome 👍
Its so strange seeing Chris in other forms of media that aren't his own videos 😂 was watching a Luca Brasi video and BAM there he is
Then watching a Rumors music video a BABAM THERE HE IS
You’ve mastered the burning technique you legend
An epic piece Sir.
Do a custom collectible for Black Panther next month.
I was excited about this and you didn’t let me down (as always).Farout Now I feel like going Kmart!
Looks like something the Chutauri would use. It looks awesome!
If I could make a suggestion from my experience with the heat painting:
Add a little gold as the last color in the transition. I did that on my Star Lord and they look great.
Another awsome job dude .✌
Chris you should deffinitely make the broken Grafflex from The Last Jedi! It would be dope to see you getting one of those child blade builders sabers and just cutting it in half and repainting it and adding the kyber crystal in the center :)
That looks awesome sir. Think I'll order one online. Oh and the sound effects sound very Star Wars like I've noticed.
These are my favorites of your vids
Chris, great video like always. When is the full workshop tour coming?
Really turned out nice!
Looks like a Blade Runner gun, awesome!
Try some black streaks around the muzzle to simulate carbon scoring to go with the heat discolouration.
Really give if that lived-in effect.
Dude no way I customised one of these myself two months ago so if Chris is doing it then I must be choosing the right props
One thing I notice with the burn effect. If you are doing it on a rod for example, the anodize goes from side to side, not in the radious direction. what I'm trying to say is that you should paint the marks horizontal and not vertical, and painting that way helps you blend the colours
This is so cool, as always.
Blade Runner inspired pistol next?
Hi Chris, this is beautiful mate. I'm hooked on your videos and hang out for them each week.

sorry if im preaching to the choir mate.
Have Fun, stay silly and keep doing it best
Looks awesome, man.
I would die to see Chris do an Equilibrium cosplay.
The new infinity gauntlet replica from hasbro is pretty cool. Would love to see a review or a custom collectible about it
Love the stuff Chris. What is the next action figure on the custom collectible list?
You believe the shoe polish with metallic powder would be a good technique for Mandalorian armor?
Great result!
Every time I watch a Custom Collectible video all I can think of is the line from Clerks: "What smells like shoe polish?".
Now I wanna try it!
Need more of these
Hi Chris im Wayne from the UK I've been watching your RUclips channel and I've been very impressed by your work and the channel in general, I really enjoyed the weapon tutorials and I was thinking on customising the mandalorian rifle any ideas for me please
I'm surprised how cool it looks by default
Please do a dollar store custom gun
Man I've walked past these guns in K-mart so many times and wanted to do similar stuff. Maybe I will
You could use rub and buff for a metallic finish.
Hey Chris do more of these they are 👍🏻
Kmart does have some nice toys every so often
Holy shit, that looks good
That's a pretty nice sculpt for $5.
So Chris I have a question I’ve tried doing dry brushing but it always turns out to runny or not enough to use can you please make a detailed vid on how to dry brush (love your vids by the way)
I'm going to see if there's a few of these locally and I might make these my Red Hood guns
hey Chris, love the video as always. I was wondering if the next time you custom a toy gun, could you maybe try a way off adding weight to it? I think the best use of these props are of course props for fan films and things like that, but the weight always seems too light to be believable to me
Is it just me or does that gun look like something from destiny? Also fantastic video.
¡Hey Chris! ¿What were you spraying on, in the 2:25? Super nice gun!
The gun without the white panels reminds me of the gun that robocop has in the 2014 movie
Your video's are awesome.
Hey chris i saw a comment about a daredevil cosplay, if you got one of the batflick cowls and the red hood neck wrap you could easily make the mask
Hey chris i think all your episodes are awsome. how about doing an episode dedicated to movies props of the 80's... eg robocop's gun
Hm.. Imma see if I can find one of those.. looks perfect for my latest character.. maybe get two..
This reminds me of Space Mountain: Mission 2 In Paris
Chris you should do a Green Arrow cosplay
Ace Breao comics or CW show? I'd love to see a comic Green Arrow cosplay.
Chris I dare you to do a custom collectable without any weathering whatsoever.
Joel Trouchet impossible
That is what makes it look good
I just found a space pistol yesterday! I want to customize it so bad! I have to wait until I head back home to even start on it. I already have some ideas on colors. I don't know how to post it on this video chat.
Hey Chris. Live up in Brisbane. Just curious, do you have a list of Materials you use and where to buy them from?
If I had the materials, patience, and attention to details, I would go for a Batman Beyond styled Red Hood look.
Hey Chris will you be going to supanova Melbourne this year
Avengers Assemble the enemies in it. Defo looks like one of their guns with that colour scheme
Hold up two custom makeover videos.... this week?
Chris are you going mad?
Just kidding bring em on!
The design and colors remind me of the Chitauri from the Avengers.
Love it!!!
Amazing!
You should add scratches for each kill on the barrel.
Awesome job man, also do you have an email or something we can use to send you photos of stuff online ? As sending stuff overseas is a bit of pain
Thanks for the videos man you produce some amazing things and have taught me a lot of techniques for weathering different materials.
I want one of those space guns... :D ...gosh dang it.... they aren't very available in the UK... bummer! :(
Feb. 28, 2019----Thanks for the video....I downloaded it for future reference. REALLY going to piss off my nephews boy when I show it to him....and won't let him even play with or touch it.
Chris' one day builds
great job
Really? Krylon "Preserve It"? I've had bad experiences with this: tends to yellow over time and very apparent on white... Maybe it was bad batch. I don't know. But overall very nice custom paint job. It looks awesome!
Where can you find the clear primer you used? Been looking for a good clear primer for a long time!
Hi,
I have a quick question, now I'm old and shoe polish used to be wax based, how do you manage to get the paint to stick to it...
Thank you....
John...
make it into a future style of a grappling hook for a futuristic Batman cosplay
Nice video !
