#Xmen97 Развлечения
This is the episode where the show runners very deliberately take an audience that grew up on 90s X-men, who had been having a blast reliving the glory days up to this point, and brutally remind them that the world is a horrible, nasty place in which your life can go from great to hell in a heartbeat.
You feel dazed, like you’ve been punched in the head, because that’s exactly what they designed this episode to do.
It really was a gut punch.
20:39 - Actually, Rogue and Gambit *don't* have the same accent. Yes, they're both Southern, but Remy has a Cajun accent, which is more prominent in Southern Louisiana, whereas Rogue is from Mississippi.
Yes, those states are right next door to each other and yes, their accents may have *some* similarities because of that, but Gambit's vernacular is strictly Cajun.
Came to the comments 2 say something similar. Lol

Disney Marvel was dead, constant crap stories and low effort shows and movies since End Game. Then they called in the big guns, and this single animated series saved Disney Marvel. Phenomenal writing, voice acting, story, just fantastic. I rewatched the whole original series in time for the start of this series and it just gets better and better.
I wouldn’t say dead after endgame, I would put a couple of projects up there but most of its work were pretty unconsumable.
"Anything happens to Gambit, I'ma freak!" Uh oh...
... When she said that...oh boy
Gambit isnt strong enough to do what exactly? Gambit is HIM. Try to remeber it..
Moira MacTaggert is indeed Scottish and lives on Muir Island, Scotland.
Honestly now that I think about it, when Professor X told Gambit: "How often must the scoundrel prove himself as a hero before he believes it himself." This is what he meant, Gambit went down as an ultimate superhero by saving the remaining survivors on Genosha and Rogue of course. If that's not the way the cajun should go out then I don't know what is.
Remy has always been the black sheep of the team, mostly due to his own self doubt stemming from the morlock incident.
He’s never really thought of himself as a superhero, just a guy with incredible powers trying to make it through life with as little pain as possible.
What’s really tragic is that the actress who plays as Rogue, Lenore Zann, is using her raw emotions of losing her 17 year old niece to cancer when she’s crying over Gambit.
Who told you that? kinda messed up tbh. she was crying over the fact she could finally touch him but couldnt feel him.... the loss of a lover, not a child/family member.
We found out from a Twitter message TV tropes from tearjerker two episodes later
@@nullakjg767actors pull from real life experiences sometimes. This was one of those situations where she pulled from one tragedy to put emotion into this tragic performance.
@@noy8940 so youre saying she touched her niece???
@@nullakjg767 no. She used her emotion that she felt for losing one loved to portray the emotion rogue felt losing her loved one.
It’s not as difficult as you’re making it out to be.
Fun Fact: Gambit is technically an omega class level threat. He just chooses not to, so nobody actually knows how strong he truly is.
That and the fact he got a lobotomy to nerf himself
Don't worry he survives and becomes a horseman for apocalypse
He is actually beyond Omega Level considering he could kill Dark Phoenix
He nerfed himself to an alpha level mutant when he had Sinister perform surgery on him since he's so scared of his potential. It would be cool to see the Omega level variant or version of him in this show.
He could charge the planet and blow it up
“Anything happens to Gambit Ima freak” famous last words
Gambit raised the stakes and went all in
This episode was phenomenal!
Everything from the animation, writing, music and even the soap opera drama and twists were outstanding. Rogue and Gambit's relationship is so interesting and poetic, with excellent writing, almost Shakespearean. That ending alone had my mouth on the floor. Gambit went out like an *ABSOLUTE G SAVING EVERYONE LEFT ON GENOSHA!!!*
Rogue: "Sugar... I can't feel you," nah I can't😭
I loved seeing my boy Nightcrawler, too; he's always been my favourite X-men.
Magneto had some of the hardest lines Ive ever heard in this episode alone.
I got to say Scott's outburst was pretty well deserved since hes constantly lost people hes cared about in order to save humans who constantly hate and threaten them, slowly starting to become as cynical about humanity as Magneto is, and I mean can you blame him. Also I dont dont see why Jean is mad at Scott since Madelyn was the Jean he fell in love with and gave birth to his child, and he had no idea about this and after processing losing his son, Scott isnt exactly sure what to hold onto especially when hes tied to Jean and subconsciously owe to Jean to make up for all the lost time they had and yet Jean says he was cheating when she straight up kissed Logan earlier, she cheated on him as much as he unknowingly did the same thing.
The Genosha Tri-Sentinel massacre was the equivalent of a Mutant 9/11 and seeing the brutality and devastation is heartbreaking. Truly this show is PEAK MARVEL MEDIA!
22:06 "Anything happens to Gambit, I'ma freak"
Me: 👀
Cable real name, Nathan Charles Summers.
Cable, Nathan Charles Dayspring Summers, the Askani' Son...
The guy has more names than real fingers! Loll
REMEMBER IT
This episode was truly amazing seeing my favorite x men nightcrawler and the way this episode went from 0 to 100 was insane
I like the Biggest reaction was when Scott said “ I was checking in on her after she moved overseas” OMG NOOOOOOO 😂
tv series rule #1:if there's an episode that's fun, happy, and too good to be true it's because it is and the next episode is gonna tear your heart out
Oh gosh…I was waiting for this one, I have trouble watching it again, but I wanted to see this reaction.
I love nightcrawler. Truly the best xmen
The path is set. This turning point was amazing and this episode will always be on my mind.
The one nitpick I can think of is that the show's version of Genosha _seems_ much smaller. It doesn't look like that would home even a few million people, let alone >16 million.
yeah didn't that episode hit so hard? probably one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen. the title of the episode definitely fits.
Rogue (sarah connor)
Gambit (kyle reese)
Gambit the Big hero
😭😭😭😭
Best episode ever made despite crying a lot at the end
Keep watching it get crazy
This was an awesome episode
The original lineup of Excalibur was based somewhere near Liverpool (in a lighthouse) - it's members were Nightcrawler, Captain Britain, Meggan, Rachel Summers and Kitty Pryde. Excellent series with a different tone than the other X-titles at the time. Stories by Claremont and Alan Davis, who's British I believe. If Disney ever did an animated series on that title, it'd be cool, but I doubt it'll ever happen. Loved the art as a kid (by Davis).
Just like your hubby, Gambit is also my fav X-Men. It's a great episode, but it is sad to see him go down 😢. (Fortunately for comicbook characters in this universe, I know he'll be back one day).
He went out as a badass.
I love your singing Suzy 🙂 great video too 🙂
I love This episode, gambit was My favorite Xmen when i was a child, luck Will always be with You mona mi
I didn't skip❤❤❤
In the comics they explain that wearing the collars causes pain and PTSD. Also they're a symbol of mutant oppression.
16:39 This gets brought up a lot and I hate how even in 97 they never explained it: The radiation from the power inhibitor collars causes immense pain. Also in the comics Rogue was sexually abused multiple times the last time she was collared and would never wear one because of it. Actually, Rogue's history of abuse is the reason why she can't turn off her powers in the first place. The psychological trauma created a mental block. There was a time she was able to control her powers and found out that not only could she be touched, but could also copy other mutant powers just by being in proximity and even suppress them.
❤😮 We were all overcome by this emotion, Marvel returned to its comic book origins, to exciting anime
perfect analysis: everything is happening but what just happened 😳
“Don’t you dare try and turn it around on her”
Sorry real physical cheating will always be worse than mentally cheating. Jean is a hypocrite.
So is Suzy
Cable aka Nathan Summers is the son of Cyclops and Jean clone/Madelyne Pryor...He is time traveler

great reaction. this show is Fire.
No no she is correct they are both Southern Accents, Louisiana is in the south
But no she’s not, one is a standard southern accent from rogue, and gambit is a Cajun accent. They’re different
@@savageman086 and cajun is from Louisiana which is a Southern state so yes they are both Southern Accents
