I have one and the patent number is what brought me to your video. I bought mine new somewhere between 99 and 05. Mine is slightly different as the sides are ported and the locking mechanism has a rubbery plastic cover. Was in my pocket for a long time as I remember it being super affordable and nicer multi tools were a lot more expensive then. I don’t carry mine everyday, but it’s at least 15 years old and is still a solid tool. I keep it clean, oiled and take it fishing every so often....

Yeah I emailed Gerber about the tool. The model you have is the next version of the same tool essentially. I think it kept the same patent number but was improved somewhat and became the Gerber 600. Can't really remember all the models as they have quite a few now. LOL. Great little multi tool and mine stays in my get home bag and I've also used mine on fishing trips for dealing with those nasty treble hooks that can make you bleed if you look at it sideways. LOL. Thanks for watching and the comment/info! - Grego

The Gerber you have is the same one I used in the Marines in the 1990’s. I still have mine and it is bullet proof.

Strive2Survive I would like to ask you how to fix the locking of the pliers, since my tool is missing the middle pins on both sides. Thank you.

I'd reach out to Gerber. I no longer have this tool and have no idea how and/or if they could be repaired. They may replace under warranty but it would be with the newest version as this tool is no longer available. Good luck.

I'm not sure but waiting for more info from Gerber. I believe this tool could've came in a kit with a sheath originally but I'll post a more complete video once I find out for sure. You might look at the Gerber 600 series multi tool to see if that sheath might work. It's similar in design. 👍👍
