@@MultitoolsandBlades For 30 years I have accumulated more than three hundred multitools and knives. 80 % of them are Leatherman . No one in the world has even come close to them in terms of the quality of pliers. Other manufacturers have learned how to make all the other components in good quality. But they can't produce high-quality pliers! Today, at Leatherman, the quality of pliers is highly dependent on the instability of production standards. But, at the same time, the worst quality pliers from Leatherman are always completely superior to pliers from any other manufacturer. (I am a highly qualified engineer by education.)
@Alex Leon I used to work at Leatherman and Spyderco which helped me to get into multitool and knife collecting. I've seen my fair share of broken pliers heads while at LM. Some designs are far more susceptible that others. But, I agree, unbiased - Leatherman tools are one step above the competition. It's just a shame that they have stopped being innovating.
@@MultitoolsandBlades I'm not a collector. Rather, "not quite a normal person":) I use most multi-tools. Almost everything suits me. Everything that does not suit me, I update. I make the components I need myself. In any case, you and I cannot influence the production process. This process is always a war between marketers, engineers and designers. Я не коллекционер. Скорее, "не совсем нормальный человек":) Я использую большинство мультиинструментов. Меня почти все устраивает. Все, что меня не устраивает, я обновляю. Я сам делаю необходимые мне компоненты. В любом случае, мы с вами не можем влиять на производственный процесс. Этот процесс всегда является войной между маркетологами с одной стороны, и инженерами и дизайнерами с другой.
