Maserati is going to be totally electric by 2025. I don't know how Maserati will be able to sell ANY electric automobiles, because it is the signature exhaust note that is different from the other high-end luxury autos. Mercedes cannot give away their electric cars. Last year they had a 2 year supply waiting to be sold.
Believe me, most of us in the UK think these battery cars are crap.

Jaguar was doing a little better after they broke up with Ford (no surprise), but an all electric Jaguar...yeah, I'll pass. The manic push for all EV's now is beyond stupid.

Ford saved Jaguar’s brand and brought it back from the rolling pile of junk they had become. Now Tata Motors is running them in the ground again . Oh well .

It is a typical company that is far below German in quality but wants to be treated like one, far below Italian in design but wants to be treated like one. It was falling apart faster than Korean cars even in 90s and Korean brands were only about 20 years old at the time with the worst reputation.
I can’t say I hate Jaguar, their cars were sexy and sounded good, too bad the quality control wasn’t par to that.
Jaguars were bad enough as gasoline cars. Now, they have upped the game of "Who's the biggest loser", by making EV only cars. Goes to show that P.T. Barnum was right when he stated that, "there's a sucker born every day." .
Toyota and Lexus for the win! 💯Those are the only 2 brands (yes, I know Lexus is still technically Toyota) I trust.

Wind mills
I have over 50 years as an electrician
Take the amount KW these big wind mills put out an hour divided into the amount of electric we use a day in the USA. We will need 82,000 wind mills running 24 hours a day at maximum output. I spent a lot of time in the Thumb MI you never see them all running
In the previous video Scotty was rattling on about the blades breaking on GE windmills. General Electric is in charge of making the turbines, but chances are the wind blades are made by another company altogether.

Checks out. I wanted a jaguar before I knew anything about cars. Never bought one though I also wanted reliability.
I find Jaguar's current "aerodynamic" design language to be one of the best. Most everything else about them is meh. I have no idea what Jaguar calls the current body style, but it is a refreshing body style compared to your Mercs and Beamers which have managed to transform into hideously overstyled monstrosities.

Jaguar has a distinct exhaust note which is part of the "experience". With an electric its gone.
Going all electric is such a mistake - there are too many situations where the infrastructure for charging electrics just isn't there, and the electric cars just don't have the range. Most only function in the 20-80% range (charging them past 80% takes too long). If you have to charge your car every day, who is going to stop at a charge station for that long every day, when everyone else needs them too? Plus making them leaves a terrible footprint, along with disposing of the batteries when they go dead.
The electric car manufacturers MUST know al of this, and yet, they are doing it anyway without saying a word.
You realize the NUMBER ONE selling vehicle IN THE WORLD in 2023 was an EV? If it’s so terrible to own one you better tell all those people.

My aunt bought a used jaguar. It's a pretty nice car, and hasn't had any major problems. Plus, the dealerships is fantastic.
One of the things my aunt likes about the car, is the purr of the exhaust as it goes down the road. Without, another reason not to buy one maybe?

@@me38443 Correct. Say anything negative about the EV craze, and you're instantly labeled a "Threat to Democracy". Soon, for knocking electric vehicles, you will be branded a 'convicted felon', and thrown in prison.
Not to mention all the shipping involved in the mining to battery install process.
With that said, there are a lot of efforts going into battery recycling, but how successful these efforts are remains to be seen once we start seeing all this mass of batteries produced in the past several years start to fail.

Rebuilt alternators are junk. I had a local shop rebuild one on my 2003 SVT Cobra. It failed while I was on vacation. I contacted PA Performance and had a new one delivered to me and we put it on in the driveway. It's going on fifteen years and it has never had a problem. Their alternators are top-notch, for sure.
Soon there will be NO functioning car options. ...

I had problems with alternators after replacing a shorted glass mat battery. Finally took it go Ford and found I had a partially failed in line fusible link.
Jaguar never made reliable powertrains but some gorgeous designs and interiors. If they can get a reliable skateboard battery powertrain underneath it, Jaguar might have a chance to reboot the brand.
EV are already on their way out everywhere. We are in a worldwide recession and quite probably a coming depression or WW3. Pricy item will rot on the floor.
If they want inspire confidence in their vehicles they should provide a 10 year/100k mile no exclusions warranty or something. Show people they mean business.

I always overhaul my old alternators and starters. They are really simple devices and parts are cheap. Also it's a good idea to pop the side seals off new bearings and put more grease in them, then put the side seal back on.

Hey Scott man? I 2009 Toyota Sienna XLE 71000 miles the brake light stays on I have checked the emergency brake it’s released brake lights work fine. Now brakes are soft feeling and getting harder to stop van. What’s going on? Thanks.

Hondas are very picky on alternators. When I bought my 2014 civic, the previous owner had replaced the battery and the alternator. He had put in a no name brand alternator (probably built in China), and the car had an error message on the charging system. In addition, the engine fluctuated while idling. Bought a used oem honda (mitsubishi) alternator with low mileage. Problem solved.

Scotty, I watch your show but I have owned 2 Jaguars and they are no worse than a Ford or Chevy after owning both. The best car I have personally owned was Mazda with having 3 of those.

Jaguars don’t break down ALL the time. In fact I would say 99% of all jaguars are still on the road. The rest actually made it home.
If Valve springs are breaking, that tells me that an entire lot of springs that were improperly tempered or improperly alloyed. And nobody tested them or tested them and didn’t care

Toyota, because easily, parts will not be available after 10 years, there is no way you can keep your Toyota more than 20 years, if parts become unaivailable after just 10 years.....Toyota is changing to what dealers want, we do not like dealers practices and policies, the result, is we are not going to buy a new one, that could be impossible to repair and maintain a couple of years after the car loan was paid? And at over prices? No way. Their dealers are not following what Toyota really is. They destroy Toyota's Reputation.

Jaguar can't make dependable gas powered cars! To make a Ev is a joke with their record of reliability! Several years ago I wouldn't go to dinner with my friends in their Jaguar because it left us stranded so many times! I drove them in my lexus.

@@Perich29 We know our country. Needn't watch a foreign media to get knowledge, majority of them are biased, and spread very little light. India is a vast and diverse country. Not easy to understand for a foreigner.
Tatas were initially manufacturer of trucks and military vehicles. Later evolved into car making. They manufactued w124 for mercedes in India until 1994 approx.
They don't manufacture products that may wow international audience. Majority of their audience are indian and produce indian specific. Though their vehicles are crude, they are better suited for Indian terrain.
