They are literally beside each other on those cars...😅😱

My large friend only buys Crown Vics/Grand Marquis and he beats them to death with no respect at all. He drives it on the highway 80-85 mph everywhere. One night we were out he said he couldn't drive back from a friend we had visited so I drove his car back to town. As I got to 70 mph on the highway I about crapped my pants. His car was totally clapped out. He was so used to it he didn't notice. He has since bought another one. Your car is awesome. Manual shift cars are disappearing. Sad.

I would go to an old-school exhaust shop. They can fab, bend and weld something for less than you would spend building a set up out of bits and pieces from Auto Zone. (Voice of sad experience, here.) The hardware alone will cost what the whole job would cost at a muffler shop, and it will break. Looks like that white car is about to be a LOT of fun.

(Dont do it , it's an expensive trap)

Btw I was interested in doing a 5spd swap in a panther body 03+ , I'm on a tight budget and I'm not willing to purchase the adtr overpriced pedal. Since you used the 240sx pedal , how did you get it to bolt up and will it work with the throttle by wire
will not work on a 05-up cause of the wiring placement on the fire wall.. You can get clutch pedal from mustang and mod those to work like the 300 pedals and get cables and other stuff.. That will be the hardest part

t45 is a great but the feel of the trans feels loose. it will work, but you will need ato add a $60 driveshaft spacer when you convert you yoke to suit the vi drive shaft. Now the 3650 is a better feel a bigger trans and its feels better ( good for coyote swaps also ) cheaper route vs a t56.. Now you will need drive shaft spacer on your vic when using a tr 3650. If feels solid
I had few clutch ones and 1 broke and another had to be replace cause of rust.. So i am not a fan of the Cable at all I dislike the interal slave also. I rather the external slave just a more direct set-up.. I know you had PLENTY of rides over the years..
Also, DO NOT get into the Trailblazer 4200cc(4.2 liter) motors. They are garbage and I'll tell you why. I started getting really interested in buying a Trailblazer last year before I bought my Mercury. But I'm one of those guys that researches stuff really well before I buy it. The long story short is, those engines are notorious for having mechanical issues. MOST NOTABLY, the VVT Soleniod. Watch some youtube videos on that problem. It is a problem with every single one of them. They ALWAYS fail prematurely and when they fail, they allow metal particulate to circulate throughout the engine and it ruins the engine. You know I'm a big inline 6 fan too. I was sorta bummed when I got done researching those. But hey, there are still a lot of other good inline 6's out there. I really wanted to get a Trailblazer with the 5.3 V8 afterwards but those are hard to find and when you do, they are either ragged or expensive.
I see what you are saying, but the easy way to deal with the motor is to lock the VVT and work with lesser hp and then turn to force induction to make it right.. The Bmw inline are good pre -96. Thats down the road, but I am just thinking as i was doing a oil change on the trailblazer
@@bstfordchannel923 I've never heard of anyone disabling the VVT but I'm sure that can be done. Seems kinda sketchy. But inline 6's are definitely cool and I don't blame you for being interested. I have been wanting to build a rat rod jeep for years. Those inline renix motors are frickin awesome! They're just so dang heavy. But the torque! You can stroke them to almost a liter more displacement and then do a supercharger or turbo. Plus the XJ cherokees are so dang lightweight that they compensate for how heavy the motor is. That's a heavy motor!
Man, i got all the parts for this swap for my 05 sitting in my garage now. Just a little scared to start this because i’ve never done such a big job before or pulled a trans in my life. But gonna get it on jackstands in the next few weeks and just give it a shot. The wiring worries me the most and that crossmember since i’m in PA
Here is what you do Derek. Focus on jacking the car up and feeling comfy being underneath ..Then drain trans fluid.. Then take out drive shaft ( take your time ) no race... Then take out cross member. Then.. you take that starter out ( take you time and do not strip those starter boltd ) DO NOT USED 12 POINT SOCKETS on bolts ( on any bolts ) Then you take out the bolts for the Tq converter bolts that connect the flex plate.. Then the thye trans bolts ( need a trans jack ) Harbor Freight $70 buck great item... Its ok to do half and then another half just take you time..

Yo bro I checked out ur other vid using the NO SMOKE now I hve a bmw 750i and the seals are bad and bmw actually had a law suit thy actually lost for ths problem now I’ve been using the no smoke and it actually eased my problem but my question is being tho I hve a 8 cylinder twin turbo so is it safe for me to use 2 bottles on my next oil change?
Oh? check you intake pull the piping off by the throttle body and see if any oil is there... You MAY have a bad turbo ( maybe ) or I will say what you said about seals.. You have to be careful with these cars.. They us a certain type of grade of oil... it will ease the problem but this issue is what it is.. Check pvc systems also make sure you take the pressure out the crankcase
You work on these, do you happen to have an extra engine splash guard / gravel shield for an Aero 91-97? I've been looking and apparently they're just impossible to find intact it seems, thanks. 🙏

Here is what you do Derek. Focus on jacking the car up and feeling comfy being underneath ..Then drain trans fluid.. Then take out drive shaft ( take your time ) no race... Then take out cross member. Then.. you take that starter out ( take you time and do not strip those starter boltd ) DO NOT USED 12 POINT SOCKETS on bolts ( on any bolts )
Then you take out the bolts for the Tq converter bolts that connect the flex plate.. Then the thye trans bolts ( need a trans jack ) Harbor Freight $70 buck great item... Its ok to do half and then another half just take you time..

Yo bro I checked out ur other vid using the NO SMOKE now I hve a bmw 750i and the seals are bad and bmw actually had a law suit thy actually lost for ths problem now I’ve been using the no smoke and it actually eased my problem but my question is being tho I hve a 8 cylinder twin turbo so is it safe for me to use 2 bottles on my next oil change?
Oh? check you intake pull the piping off by the throttle body and see if any oil is there... You MAY have a bad turbo ( maybe ) or I will say what you said about seals.. You have to be careful with these cars.. They us a certain type of grade of oil... it will ease the problem but this issue is what it is.. Check pvc systems also make sure you take the pressure out the crankcase

Can't kill those 4.2s. I think they bolt up to the R154 out of the MKIII Toyota Supra turbo.
