The question is will Square Enix keep all aspects of this sequence the same in the FFVII remake!? Cloud in a dress!

The new scene from the Remake is so much better. Tifa and Aerith get along as friends and Cloud actually gets chosen instead. They really made this scene so much better and more comfortable to watch.

Cloud could get chosen in the original as well, it depended on what Items you unlocked.

After realizing that his preconceived view of himself was a lie to keep himself sane from the trauma of not getting into Soldier, losing his entire hometown and mom to his idol, being experimented on by Shinra with his best friend, then his best friend busts them out and carries him to safety while chased by Shinra, he has to watch his best friend die while he was too weak to help him. Then he loses Aerith nearly his mind, has to fight Sephiroth again. His life starts getting better again with Tifa, Marlene, and Denzel, he goes off to find a cure for Geostigma for Denzel, on to later learn that he's got it. Is it any wonder that he was suffering from depression and PTSD after all that. If you want to see him upbeat again, look up his cut scenes in Dirge of Cerebus. Only good thing about that game.

When I was a teenager my dad walked in on me playing ff7 and this is the scene it was on. He freaked out about it and forced me to trade the game for another at the place I was working. I traded it for X-Men VS Street Fighter which is kinda a rare game so was actually a great trade.

Just played the remake jokes aside they handled all the interactions and everything way better in the remake.
I never realized this at all when I was a kid but Tifa was being locked up in some sort of S&M torture dungeon! WTf?!
I never played FF7, but I love how when they wanted Don Corneo to start talking or else and then Cloud says "I'll chop it off." I was laughing up a storm.

This scene was so uncomfortable for me, I never played the og ff7, so I recently started playing it on a ps1 emulator and when I got to this part, I was really triggered and nervous, not knowing where to go, and kept getting chased. I even googled it and nothing came up, I had no idea you had to talk to that guy twice so that that would trigger cloud to change back into his original clothes and start kicking ass. So I had to restart the game from an earlier point before I got the dress, now I know all the extra steps so that cloud is picked, but gosh that scene was too detailed, I'm glad it was tone downed in the remake.
This was one of my favorite parts of the whole game... gosh I feel like a weirdo now

People seem to forget how cartoony the original version of FF7 was.
This is darker than the remake.
I realized that this was on PC a bit later on in the video with general midi on, it sounds pretty strange since I'm used to the PS1 version of the music

But it's hilarious that in the remake, he will only ever take Cloud. I had no idea he could choose Tifa or Aerith
This isn't quite the original version - it is _almost_ like that version, but the music in the original version is played with harder notes, with a slightly more simplistic arrangement. You can hear an example of the sound chip for that version if you search for the video "Final Fantasy VII - Wall Market Theme (Extended)".
