Great thing about The Cure is they have remained honest and true to their art over all these years, quietly going along without selling out, making great music. They have mainstream success without having gone mainstream. And Robert Smith has never worn his artistic honesty as a badge of honor as other bands have. Respect.
Stop to cry about anyone who left The Cure! about sound of the bass, guitar or anything else! It's The Cure! ambiguous and incredible! Each of them bring a part of what we love with every single moment of Cure history! If you just look for a Drum line - fuck you! Finger up if you love The Cure as is!
Is it Robert Smith playing all the guitar solo breaks? It certainly appears to be. He plays guitar lines with a lyrical quality just like his incredible vocals.
Yeah,..same opinion,..and now i am 35 and this year ,2022,..me and my wife will visit concert in berlin on 18th of october,.and we are so excited, cuz we can see them in lifetime,as long as they play and still make music.
The cure is a unique band. They've never sold out. I've always had respect for them. I'll never forget seeing the band Placebo live and suddenly this guy with big bushy hair came on stage, the audience went nuts when they realised it was Robert Smith
thx for posting!!!! that was a great tour, but this nite the band seemed REALLY into it and more animated than usual...even porl was moving around a bit where every time i saw them he kinda just stood there...and simon? chugging his beer while the song was ending? priceless

Never thought about it like that but you are right. They are like the biggest not biggest band . Mainstream but not.
