I am loving this idea! What a great idea to hold holiday cards with some photos of loved ones...I'm definitely going to try to make one of these minis! Thanks Amy : )
Looking good Amy! I love the extra flaps pockets and the pockets on the front and back covers. Can't wait for the next one!!
Love it ... great to see more space evolve . looking forwards to phase 3. ! Thank you . x
I really love how easy you make this look . Smiles thank you for sharing..
This is not craft that I do, but watching has made me rethink something like this after Christmas! AG
What a beautiful and great chunky mini!!!!
XXX
I love your projects that span over a few videos but boy is it torture waiting for the next one :) I just cant wait to see how you fill all that space
I'm really loving this Amy I am so excited about it tfs crafting hugs always Bridget x
Amy, I LOVE how this is coming together! I can't wait to make one after I'm done with all of my other projects.
Kim Schultz I can't wait to see it!
Boy you made an awful lot of extra real estate in this book! Am loving the steps so far. And now what to do with the strips off the tape. Hmmm...and idea! TFS and the challenge....hugs...Bobbie
Still a great tutorial, 7 years later. ❤
Your envelope pages are so awesome. Why DoD you mat with such big black peices. ??
You covered almost all of the pretty patterned papers
Well, I bit the bullet... I am following along with my own mini ( on a smaller scale of course ) I love it so far... I can't wait till the embellishment part comes. I can do the album, it's the embellishing that throws me for a loop... don't know what to do to the pages to make them attractive... can't wait to see yours! Thanks Amy!
Nyoka Smith To be honest I am always intimidated by that part. I think having a theme helps though cause it narrows down the direction you can go in anyway.
Love love love this mini, I just have to do it now..:O) TFS
Hugs
Mary
Everytime I see a tutorial for a mini album I feel intimidated :( but this mini album just looks so pretty im gonna try it! Thanks MayMay :-)
Loving it! I especially like the pockets and the magnetic flap! I'm wondering if I do a zig-zag fold on the pocket sides would that make them deeper for bulkier items?
Marji Miller yes, I have used those before as well. They make lots of room!
Love it so far. You are so brave to run your ATG gun on top of your work. If that was me I would have run the gun off the mat & stuck everything up,lol.
Happy crafting, :0)
+Linda Storey Brave or lazy??? lol
love it,lol
I love how you create things on the fly! It's really coming along! There's a lady I follow who does all shabby chic and ALL her "mini" albums are this chunky!! It's really going to be cute. Are you going to add some burlap to it? When I was at Joanns today I saw some of those burlap cut outs like you like all on clearance. I didn't bring them home with me though!
sadiejosiemom I hadn't thought about burlap but now that you mention it, yes, probably on the cover or something. I do like to create as I go, that is why I never really know how it will turn out.
Amy,
If i do not need this much space, and I make the gussets 1/4 inch instead if 1/2, can I just use a regular three piece cover and spine also? I am so unsure of myself....I have yet to get one made....
521LakeStreet yes, just be sure to decide on your closure before you get started with your album. Just in case you want to use ribbon or something that may need to be hidden behind a piece of paper or something.
Love your mini and of course all of your great videos, but just a thought, if you make your pockets with folded in edges and mitered corners (if your page is 6x6" you cut the outer piece 7x6,5" and score 0,5"on three sides, fold in the 0,5" pieces and put tape on them facing inwards. Perfect pockets! ☺) you don't get the sticky tape and tag syndrome but you can still use tape to adhere them, and of course you get even more real estate because yoy can put bigger tags in them.
As yoy did on the inside cover when i continued watching, of course 😉, but with really burnished edges. Kathy Ortha does some great real estate videos.
Ann-Sofie Red Thanks! Great minds!!
Very nice.
Is the tape frompunch place plus photo safe? I might have missed that in the tape description on her website, but I didnt see it described that way. Thanks for this great tutorial. Im gonna start mine tonight!
Tawnya C I do not know, but I would err on the side of caution and not use it on photos and things that you want to preserve.
If you use your empty ATG it makes a cool Santa's beard
I know where you get the magnets, but where do you get the metal for the other side
+Mylene w from the same store, she carries both of them. Thanks!
Your bells are upside down... gotta watch the direction of the design
AuntBecscreations So funny, on my Facebook group we had a little "can you tell me what I did wrong" question and that was the answer! Good eye Bec, good eye! I didn't catch it till I was editing!
I don't feel welcome in your group anymore you said that something was only for your inner group only
