A note according to the revised rules on Tom's website: When you placed your first armor card (the 3 of diamonds) the rules state that you must place it on the royal most similar to it. In that moment that would have been the jack of diamonds. I kind of like having the choice to place it on any royal you want however. Additionally the rules don't specify if you are allowed to place armor while still having ploys (or power cards) available. Since they score your game at the end though it makes sense you can choose to place armor instead. Are there any rules revisions you've made that make the game more enjoyable other than the stated above?
I would say "If you have a ploy, you may either add the card as armor or use the ploy during the placement of the card. RAW You're not allowed to choose the royal, it's suit first, color next, then any royal, ties break by lowest value." my interpretation: Lowest value, not lowest health.
@@annad5130 value is the sum of royal health (11,12,13) plus any numbered cards that strengthen it (2-10). Does that help? Otherwise point out more precisely what your confusion is.
yes to place armor via a recipe kind of takes away agency without a good reason. You're already in trouble as it is, and the luck of the draw can be already brutal.
I say that Aces should be a value of 1 and the 2 jokers are similar to bombs. Using those would take out a harder royal card that might make you spend more time trying to kill it.
These are ‘Carte Rouge’ - it’s a cryptic puzzle game that uses this deck of cards. Lots of ciphers and codes, and cool symbology. www.theenigmaemporium.com/online-store/Carte-Rouge-p178783689
i'm a bit confused about using jokers. for example, i have a pile with a top card that i'd like to move. after using the joker for this, can the card below the top card become a trigger? or can a card only become a trigger if it is placed down? if it was already there previously, it won't count?
RAW: "placing it can trigger an Attack the same way a normal play can. " so the card what spot it ends up on top of, triggers both the row and the column.
My grandma taught me how to play Clock, it does have a soft spot in my heart. She’d be rather disappointed in my title as well 😔 Well, now I’ll go have a go at that one then.
@@OnePlayerForever yeah, download SolSuit or something, play some Clock. Do the right thing. Also, do you have a Decktet? EDIT Also also, there's no videos on bgg for gridcannon, you should submit yours
I’ve got Solsuite, I should probably do some more exploring on there. No Decktet, though I was a little put off by the art if I’m honest. I do like the thought of a 6 suit deck though, that’s pretty cool.
that would be confusing as hell. Thematically you would have an ever more dwindling grid, and if your deck starts with low numbered cards you are screwed.
Tip: the game description starts at 2:38
Thank you!
its like clear the dungeon
cus clear the dungeon is based of this game
@@dj_longinus im hooked on tarot solitaire nowadays but canfield with a french deck is fun too lol, have you seen the tarot solitaire on pyol fc?

¡Excelente!
So you can’t kill a Royal when using the reassigning power when utilizing a Joker?
of course you can.

This is with the updated rules?
Hmm I don’t believe so, I based this off the designers original video. Have they posted updated rules on BGG or somewhere?
"Best solitaire variant"
(X) doubt
I dunno man, it’s better than ‘Clock’ - let’s see what you got 😆
@@OnePlayerForever hey, watch what you say about Clock 😒
EDIT oh, Bowling Solitaire by Sid Sackson is, of course, the best solitaire variant

Sometimes I like to play it reverse with only being allowed to place cards on numbers lower than a drawn card on the grid, or matches
