2020 USA BMX Grands - Drew Polk

- This year was a mess. Even with all the uncertainty, I was able to accomplish some goals, such as winning 8 nationals (1 in 17-20 Expert) and getting my first Junior Elite Men Podium. The Grands were no joke, but I knew it would be extremely difficult before I arrived. In the Race of Champions (ROC), I finished 5th out of 57 riders in 17-20 Expert. In the NAG 5 Challenge, I finished 6th among the best amateurs in the country. For the National Finals, I unfortunately had a rider crash in front of me in quarters and I was caught up in it, ending my year there. Overall, I ended up National Age Group (NAG) #4 in 17-20 Expert and National #39. This year would not have been possible without everyone that has supported me, so I would like to thank my parents, Donavon and Traci Long, the Velador family, my teammates, my fans, my track buddies, and all my sponsors: Hyper, Atlas, 6D, Snafu, Faith, Promax, Box, HT, and G-Form.

Did you like your Carbon Wiawis bike better than your Hyper because I think that the Wiawis was lighter?
The WiaWis is lighter, but I like the Hyper more. The Hyper is a lot smoother and it rides better than the WiaWis did, such as manualing. They feel pretty similar, which is weird since the WiaWis is carbon and the Hyper isn’t.
note to self get Hyper over Wiawis if they ever make a carbon frame

How are you getting subscribers so quickly I am trying but can’t get them as quick?
A couple reasons, I post very consistently, I’ve posted over 50 videos in 2 years. I post videos after nationals which people are very interested in so they subscribe to watch more. Also, my videos are pretty long and people enjoy longer videos more. To add onto that, I get decent results at nationals so some people see me and know who I am. People also spread the word about my channel because there aren’t many American BMX RUclipsrs so I stand out.
