2022 USA BMX Lone Star Nationals - Drew Polk

It was a great weekend in Houston, TX for the Lone Star Nationals. I won U23 which was my main goal for the weekend, as well as a 1st in SX Open on Saturday and 1st in 17-20 Expert on Sunday. I’m stoked to grab my second U23 win of the season and my first ever win on the 8-meter hill!

It’s pretty bumpy and it’s really big, so instead of carving it’s more floaty. You have to be patient in the turn, but still be aggressive so you don’t get passed.

Always fun watching you race. Is the UCI U23 class considered pro or is it about getting points to qualify for UCI championships for world ranking?

I’m not exactly sure if it’s considered pro, but it’s a class at World Cups, World Championships, and other UCI events. U23 has it’s own world ranking.
