Andrea have you thought of making a doll with "3D" or raised tattoos? What I mean by this is either building up resin or glue on a painted tattoo to make it look raised from the skin. I think it would be an interesting feature added to your already beautiful work.

I would love to start repainting monster high dolls but I have no pastels, so is it posible to do an entire face up only using colouring pencils/ water colour pencils?
Lara Vijverberg You can get pastels at Michaels and maybe Walmart, if you don't like blushing then you'll be fine, but if you want to have blush you're going to have to buy supplies. Yo might be able to grind down the inside of watercolour pencils on sandpaper to get a powder similar to pastel but you will waste a lot of the pencil
Lara Vijverberg you can get pastels on ebay as well really cheap. I got a set for my polymer clay I only paid $7 for it and it came really fast considering it came from china and it works really well
They don't have to be particularly great pastels... I got a cheap set and they work fine for this! That being said, I wonder if you could grind down parts of the pencils you are using so that it would be in powder form? Maybe scrape a blade down the lead to sharpen the pencil, and store the scraped off bits in a small bead container until you have enough to brush on.

Like starting on hands and arms, as well as the feet and leg areas? I don't have it and I don't know anyone that does, but I think it'd be beautiful and a wonderful challenge for your art skills. I dunno, just kinda throwing the idea out there, haha...
