Only because we added KCP who is a true starting 2.. In my opinion with how Suggs made a jump in shooting.. If he can turn the corner on facilitating.. He's not counted out at all as our PG.
KCP and Suggs defensively in the starting rotation looks great to me

I agree completely ABs inability to gain separation on drives is concerning and it was a problem last year too. He can use body and angles to get at the rim, but you want your PG to have some ability to get open looks and lane penetration for kick outs with their quickness and it's not there so far
Another thing is Jalen has become a better decision maker on drives and more patient. His 3pt shot has made driving much easier. AB is not a threat from outside I would not be surprised if he regressed some on 3pt% this year based on his ft%, he only shot when wide open outside on like 1 attempt per game. AB desperately needs a floater and more comfort breaking down defenders because he is not a good shooter and guys will continue to sag off due to slower and lower release on his perimeter shot making it even more difficult to get to rim

Gotta love Luke coping with the off-season by acting like all we needed was shooting and fans are crying for no reason, when OUR biggest need was a POINT GUARD and an upgrade at center. Did we just forget about that Luke, or...?

The front office should have put their foot down with Franz and said listen buddy if you want max money you cannot be the worst jump shooter in the league. Take a break from Germany and work on your shot this summer. Germany isn't paying him $270 Mil
It’s just this summer and then he doesn’t have to worry again till 2026 pretty much. A player isn’t going to stop playing for their country that’s a big deal.

I don’t think it was just grabbing KCP for the real magic fans but that it always feels like we don’t even try to grab more than one solid player… we pick up the same guys and then stick with them (good and bad) until we try a complete rebuild
I'm going to be honest, I never was a huge fan Anthony Black's game. To me he lacks a little urgency when he plays sometimes. I'm not saying he needs to go at a thousand every play but he doesn't really have like explosiveness. He doesn't even look like a PG, he can pass like one don't get me wrong but he doesn't look like one. I hope he develops more of an ability to break down the defense as well as work more his handle and agility, otherwise I see him as a potential 3 and D guy who can pass that's it really. Just my opinion 🤷🏾♂️ don't crucify me lol 😅
I think AB makes more sense if you have Paolo/Franz in the Point Forward role. Which based on Moselys interview yesterday , I think they are still looking to do. AB excels at off ball movement, great connector type of player. The jump he needed to make was with his shooting and I believe he’s done that. Still has to work on creating his shot but that will come if he keeps working. Has to get his confidence up too.
I think full time starter PG minutes for him is a couple of years away. I’m hoping he had a Jalen-like leap. We will see how it all pans out.
I’m excited for Jett more than anyone for the upcoming season. 🥹
