What a great Dad! My dad got me started on diy projects when he made a Barbie Doll bookshelf for me. Good job!

Im making a desk for myself to use computers and also write/draw.
Folding bits of it away might be a way i can make more space.

Would love to see a build video. My daughter and I are building one now but we have made lots of mistakes along the way since Shanty 2 Chic’s plans don’t show how to attach some things. Was looking for a hinge- we will try to cut one down. Hopefully jy doesn’t end up too sharp on the ends!
I’m sorry to hear you are having trouble. What parts do you need help with?
Thank you for responding. I’m not too confident about cutting down a hinge and I can’t tell which way to attach it.
@@thundercow1097 I cut mine on a miter saw. If you have sharp edges, you can use sand paper to dull them a little. I’ll make a quick video showing how the hinges attach and post it to my Stories.

Build one
Just wondering which piano hinges you used and where you bought them, also any info on the magnet would be great, the plans don't show what type of magnet to use or how to secure it. Thanks a bunch!
F D I bought the 72” nickel plated piano hinges from Home Depot. I cut them using an old blade on my miter saw. I didn’t use a magnet on my design. I went with a small toggle on the side that flips down in front of the piece once folded up.

Can’t find the piano hinges in those lengths. Any help?
Jason I bought a 72” hinge at Home Depot. I cut it with a miter saw. You can also cut it with a hacksaw.
I'm a designer that loves making the most of small spaces. I love your idea of putting something decorative in the middle, but what about putting a piece of metal and magnets so that cutie can decorate with her own creations?!
I like that idea too! I let her decide how she wanted it decorated.

These cases are great for schools. They’ve been very durable for our students.
