Idk about other Pikmin games but as a kid, the world looked very despairingly and alien. This game got advertised free in Lugis Mansion tv if I remember correctly, so there is no surprise in it being scary for kids
Ok, I love pikmin, with Pikmin 2 being among my top 5 favorite games of all time. And it makes me happy to see one of my Oshis play one game of the series. I try to play every game again yearly, and for Pikmin 1 in particular, to Fauna's credit, I dont think has aged the best mechanically compared to its sequals. Controls can feel slugish, and the Pikmin AI is pretty awful. Too many countless deaths could happen from them being a little frustrating to control. So I can understand why she'd lose a good amount of them for virtually her first time playing since childhood. She's doing alright thus far. I will say though at 14:32, that was DEFINITELY Fauna's fault, she saw the blues walk right up to the Bulborb, and just let it happen. Didnt even bother to try whisteling lmao. It was pretty funny to see unfold.
1:17: Yappa Fauna strikes again! 5:26: Bulborbs are adorable in their own way and it does feel quite sad when you have to kill them. 7:28: FAUNA! How could you! Leaving one Pikmin behind! But honestly I think everyone has made this mistake/accident at somepoint. Pikmin can be a horror game at times, especially with the bad ending. But especially the 1st game can get very brutal especially later on in the game and with the days progressing. Faunamar gotta do her best to survive! Thanks for the clips Saka!
I feel like this is a good example of Pikmin 1 not being as demanding as players assume. I remember seeing many people not wanting to give Pikmin a chance because of there being a time limit. And I get it, having a time limit can be stressful, but 30 days to get 30 parts is super generous. and this playthrough shows that you can play not-so-optimally and still get the happy end. (though I will admit, it hurts watching her not throw Pikmin, but that's a me problem. Have fun your own way. :) )
Honestly, I don't mind seeing Fauna mess up a lot if she can still get a ship part or two a day. Even some of the weaker Pikmin playthroughs out there could reach the final boss, so I'm curious if she'll do well enough to get there.

Fun fact about the Armored Cannon Beetle: Despite overheating the body by clogging it's intake with a Pikmin, any color can actually attack it. It's easy to see how this could be misinterpreted. Also, don't worry about the little guy that was tossed in. He isn't killed and is doing just fine.
As a kid I always thought I was just so bad at the game because I felt like there was no way to accomplish the tasks that were expected of you without having failed over and over. It's nice to know that beautiful 70 year old desired women also worry about it.

As someone who grew up with this game, it is very fun watching someone relatively new to the game play it, even if it terrified you as a young'in'.
Honestly, jealous Fauna has these emotions while playing Pikmin still. The experience of not knowing everything about these games is great.
