  • Professionally filmed segment from the Budapest production of "Rudolf, The Last Kiss." This features Vágó Zsuzsi as Mary and Mészáros Árpád Zsolt as Rudolf.
SCENE SYNOPSIS: "Mary is escorted to the railway station by Bratfisch. He hands over a letter to her saying: "It is from him." Mary says goodbye to Bratfisch and reads Rudolf's letter. She breaks out in tears upon reading his lines. Suddenly, Rudolf turns up. He does not approach Mary, only watches her from a distance getting on the train. The train leaves and Rudolf waves her lover goodbye. As the smoke of the train vanishes, Mary appears on the platform. Rudolf is overjoyed to hold her in his arms again. Rudolf promises to take her to Mayerling. They agree to go to the Fourth Dimension Ball that night and dance in front of whole Vienna one last time."

This song in English was pretty much just released as sung by Drew Sarich and Lisa Antoni (sp?) from the upcoming German production. There are 3 versions of it; a pop single mix, a accoustic version and a dance version. When you by the CD, you also get a karaoke/instrumental version. The accoustuc version is somewhere on RUclips under Drew Sarich (I think). Hope this helps you out!

I saw it in 2008 in Budapest and both actors improved in their roles so it was much better than in this video in my opinion. For the ending I like the vienna ending better in musical way (how it turned to an instrumental of Vertrau in uns/Only love) and the ending with the candles...well it's big, awful Kitsch, but fits the glorified Love story the whole musical is based on. On the other hand the Budapest ending points more to the historical facts and has the puppet player in it^^
