    That was epic and for me, Henry / Carfection has taken on the mantle as the best car reviewer out there. He now makes every review an emotional journey, assisted by the top quality production, to the point where you could almost be sitting alongside him. He doesn't get over-excited, or focus on 'Top Trumps' numbers and Pub talk and he doesn't over-elaborate on the technical stuff, which is still informative but which he explains in layman's terms. A brilliant presenter, and a fantastic production team working in harmony and improving all the time. Thanks for another brilliant watch!

    Awesome work as usual Henry. I can tell the car didn’t appeal to you all that much as a great iteration of the 911 for that classic driving experience. The car is clearly over the top for anything but track work. I’m immensely enjoying my plain Jane Boxster S as it’s capable enough to drive faster than you should on the street, but usable every day and still quite entertaining, a lot like a regular 911, but at half the price and a more balanced and easy to drive at the limit chassis at 8/10’s with its mid engine. Can’t wait for the next review!

    Can't help thinking that if the history of majorly modified cars teaches us anything, Its that within 10-20 years they start to look extremely dated and go out of fashion, where as the unmodified examples take on a more cult classic type status. look at how many original long hood cars that were converted to impact bumper look in the 1980s are being converted back for this reason as well as increasing value. I don't like any of the current crop of bastardised 911's Gunther Works, Singer and especially not RWB whelt with a mastic gun!!!. I believe visual modifications should be respectful to what manufacturers would have done in period and mechanical improvements are ok if they are that and remain discrete.

I think this is also a great restomod, worth of the money required, but definetely, I would pick the Singer, the first one, that with only 350-380 Hp for a couple of reasons: first the styling; I find that first Singer absolutely astonishing from that point of view, well balanced, with unbeatable proportions, and over all this perfect shaped wheel archs, quith the bespoke Michelin tyres sides perfectly matching the rims, and perfectly filling the wheel archs, a masterpiece, a perfect sculpture of modern art; and second, the compactness of those first Singers: I find this Guntherwerks somewhat too wide to be ultimately enjoyed in the twisty B-roads I like most.

    A 993 gt2 is almost in the same price range as this...
    Still the Gunterwerks is an amazing car! It's probably even a better car than the gt2! But i know what i would pick.

      993 GT2 are 900 grand, and this starts at 480, so it is cheaper.

    Love porsche resto's but I've yet to see the perfect one for me, but I guess that's the fun of restos. Create your own spec.

    With these restomods then I always wonder if they are better to drive than the Alfaholics GT-A?
    Henry seemed to love that, so did Harris.

    • @scottjohnson4319
      @scottjohnson4319 2 года назад +4

      I think visually Alfaholics kept the look of the original car but Gutherwerks lost the Porsche essence, especially with the front end, now it looks like a big bar of soap.

    I think you meant "1.3g" and not "3g"
    3g of lateral grip is "slick tires + enough downforce to hold the car upside-down" territory
