Good job !!! This has been life saving video, with that I have been able to tackle my major challenges on my hydrological model. I would love to see the calibration, optimization and validation aspect of the model soon enough to complete my final year project👏👏👏👏
Hi there, I have a question. Where did you get the discharge data for your simulation ? Did you estimated it using the SCS-CN method or is it through a observation or trials of test in the specified area?
Discharge is the output from the simulation. I also have observed data from a gauging station at the outlet. The CN values used in the model were obtained using soil and land use data. There are videos showing how to do that on the channel.
i Have multiple outlets. How can I know the discharge of Multiple outlets, as an outlet can have many sub-basins? As I am doing a project with multiple outlets but I am not getting the discharge of multiple outlets separately. in which there are many sub-basins.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I just have one question... When I click to see the time series results table for the outlet of my basin nothing happens. I´m able to see the time series results table for every subbasin and also for the reaches, but not for the subbasin unions and for the outlet. Does this ever happened to you?
Thank you so much for your lecture. I am working on a small watershed and we have two gauging stations. for the simulated run I insert both gauges data but for the observed one I didn't find any location information to mention the exact locations of my discharge gauges. I am confused and need your guidance.... please help me to sort out my problem. Thank you in advance.
Thank you very much for your nice and useful teaching. could you please give us videos about reservoir routing? I have an error in routing reservoirs: "computed storage in reservoir1 exceeded maximum value in storage table."
Amazing tutorial. Thank you very much for nice teaching. Could you please give some tutorials about making a project in hechms with gridded precipitation? Thanks in advance Your tutorials are great.
Hello sir. My Basin area was in MI unit. While I calculated Lag time, I converted L into km. Now, my peak discharge is in CFS unit. I am very confused about what I've done. Is the result fine?
I already have some videos on base flow separation. did you look at those? you can also follow the baseflow separation tutorial available here: web.ics.purdue.edu/~vmerwade/tutorial.html
This is the most comprehensive, step-by-step lecture I have seen on hydrologic modeling that is so easy to understand and follow. Thank you for this!
EXTRA ORDINARY AND VERY GOOD METHOD TO UNDERSTAND HEC-HMS EASILY
Good job !!!

Your presentation was superb; great job, and thank you very much.
Helped me a lot with my Senior Project Design! Thank you so much!
its great video tutorial, clear and easy to follow with same data provided. i can't wait for the video calibrate and optimize the model. thanks a lot
Many thanks for this very good tutorial. Really clear and informative.
Great Introduction to HEC HMS, must watch!!!
This tutorials are educating and easy to follow

What if i getting all the result in the subbasin i want to change them into ine basin ??
Te quiero mucho Venkatesh, eres un sol :D
Muchas gracias!

i suggest you use only one gauge at the outlet and use the procedure described in the video to link the gauge to the outlet.

i have one confusion, Where did the Observation Discharge come from? which you used for comparison with the estimated Discharge?
There is monitoring station at the outlet where the discharge was measured. It is available from waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis
what if we are getting the error ERROR 14959: Start time is a partial number of intervals after midnight for "Run 1".
use 12:00 as start time
Thank you sharing your knowledge sir.

Your tutorials are great.
i will post one in the future
Thank you. I am really enthsiastic and looking forward to see your video on this very soon.
Sir, may I know where can I see the sensitivity analysis and calibration for this model? Thank you
those videos will be uploaded later
Do you calibrate the model?
Thank you so much Sir Professor!
Sir, u have not matched the simulated and observed hydrograph. If u share in any video kindly share in reply, Thanks alot
There will be videos in the future on how to calibrate.
very helpful. thanks alot sir

unit for lag time is in hours so as long as you were careful in getting your lag time, what you have is okay.
@@hydrologyvideos8253 Thank you so much sir.
Very good lecture series
Super buen tutorial, gracias
Sir please make video on baseflow separation methods
I already have some videos on base flow separation. did you look at those? you can also follow the baseflow separation tutorial available here: web.ics.purdue.edu/~vmerwade/tutorial.html
@@hydrologyvideos8253 Thanks sir.. I will go through that...
@@hydrologyvideos8253 Sir if possible send the link here for baseflow separation video.
nice vid!
outtttttt classsssss job sir
very good job.
Manyyyyyyy thanksssss sir
thank you sir
nice video, I also upload videos related to hydrology
