  • Keeping your parrots happy and engaged while you are away at work!
    This is what we do when we are away from home to ensure our parrots' well-being. Parrots are very intelligent animals and it is important to keep them engaged, both mentally and physically throughout the day. The toys, cage, and room should be stimulating for your birds and safety should also be kept in mind.
    Both parrots have responded well to our current setup and it has helped reduce plucking and overall noise levels.
    Starring: Happy the Green Cheek Conure and Bella the African Grey Parrot

    Another great, helpful video💖💖 I'm not sure if you've ever been to our channel, but we actually have a series called TV for Birds that is made just for this purpose 💖 each week we live stream our episodes and then they are placed in the playlist. If you were to click play all in the playlist, it would literally take over a month to get through each episode, back to back. Ive had amazing feedback from people that put the episodes on when they have to leave their babies. Thank you for the wonderful vid! Im new to your channel and ive really enjoyed your content and your babies😆💖💖🦜

    Omg thank you for making this video! We recently are struggling with a self mutilating/plucking sun conure and we suspect it is from stress/depression. Me and my partner both went back to work full time and we are desperately trying our best to provide anything and everything she may need to distract her from plucking. Going to try everything you mentioned!

      Dont get a bird if you are gonna be away for hour on end, but if you are going to get birds two or more birds of a kind so they will keep themselves entertained and feel happy and safe at all times.

    I don't mean to sound rude or anything just noticed something and as a parrot owner I think I have to tell you which is about the toys. parrot toys shouldn't be as the same toys given to a human baby. therefore, it shouldn't be made out of plastic or anything like that. it should me made out of woods or something that is actually good for them to shred. because if they were to play with some of the harmful toys you placed in their cage their is a possibility of them ingesting bits of it and ending up in the vet. Again, im not being rude or anything and I see from what your doing that you mean well and maybe you're just not aware of these things, I know I wasn't until I saw a video from birdtricks, (a RUclips channel about parrots) they were explaining the types of toys not to give to parrots. anyways, I hope you see this comment and be able to take better care of your sweet parrots. I wish you both well.❤️❤️

      Seems like every parrot owner is a narcissist who think only his/her way is the right way. Tons of great parrot owners give their birds plastic toys. You just have to watch out for what exactly you're giving them which mainly concerns the size and durability of the plastic toy.

    • @Ketpip
      @Ketpip 3 года назад

      I agree it think its best to keep the toys natural and if you use plastic i think its better to be their to watch them

    • @pigeonincognito
      @pigeonincognito 3 года назад

      this is true for *some* toys. If they are big enough for big birds and small enough for small birds and baby-proof, they can be fine! You are right, but if its safe for babies 100%. i think with supervision it would be okay.
      Baby toys can be very enriching, and time consuming with more durable toy material, but please please supervise if the toys aren't typical size but might still be okay!
      safe birds out there

    for me , it is cruel to let a bird in a cage for hours, if you work outside your home don t take an animal, this is just selfish

      A bird sometimes NEED to be in s cage for reasons
      1.cats
      2.when a person goes to your house randomly and just like hits your birds
      3.eating various foods like chocolates
      4.going outside if it's in a cage yes it can go outside but if it is trained to go back to you you can set it free but will eventually come to you and if the birds cannot survive in the wild it will most likely die
      5.accidents touching something sharp that can hurt them or kill them
      6.getting lost
      You can keep the bird in a room if you want
