first of all, absolutely agree with you. It’s so annoying that people are now just mindlessly agreeing to pay half a liver to get 40 pixels that make you the favorite child of social media.
Second, I almost died story:
I was in a school trip to Catalina island and happened to be allowed with the rest of the school to go to the water. Sharks normally patrol the shore and are just bottom feeders (mostly leopard sharks) so I went into the water and saw a shark pass me. It looked a little off-color, so I left the water. It was matter of fact, not a leopard shark 😍

I feel like the worst victims of this whole shit show are definitely independent artists and creatives who are reliant on their platforms and audience. These people need to build a large following for them to be able to make money off of merch featuring their art or Commissions or even adoptables and other art related business. Instagram was already notorious for its flooding hashtags, follow for follow ghost accounts, art theft and low engagement so adding the whole checkmark thing is basically ending insta all together. It's now impossible to make an online business from scratch or build a following and posting anything feels more like a tiny little kid screaming for attention in a giant room filled with million other kids who are also screaming. Sadly a lot of creators might have to migrate to other platforms or self promote via third party sites like reddit and discord

I HAVE A DRAMA STORY! When I was in elementary school I had a bully and she was always very mean to me. One day I was with my brother and he dropped something and said "shit" and she went crazy she started chasing him and his friends, barking at him, trying to get her friends to chase him and his friends, and of course she told her mom that my brother said that. what i think someone could do as a experiment is make two instagram accounts. For one, buy the verification thingie and the other one dont. afterwards, post the same video/picture at the same time. same caption, same pfp, similar account names. see if the verification thingie and its perks really work and maybe talk abt if its worth buying or not. just something that popped in my mind.

I stopped paying for Spotify as I listen to a lot of old music, and many songs just aren't there, or only the radio version is there (which is always shorter and less exciting than the album or 12" version). I just got tired, and went back to my MP3s

There are so many reasons why I don’t have social media besides RUclips. One reason is, it’s expensive. Like Ben had said. Second, it’s all very confusing and emotionally draining. Third, people have awful social skills because of the internet. Fourth, there are kids and teens with back and neck problems due to looking down at their device so much.

It’s not just the internet. My grandma used to be super wealthy, she could buy things without worrying about money. now, she can’t even buy a meal for us without it costing 70 bucks. Yes, my grandma supports my siblings and I sometimes, because my mother spends her money getting us basic things we need. So this year for my birthday, I don’t get anything. EVERYTHING is expensive now, gas costs around 200 bucks for a full tank as well. People are going to be borderline homeless by like 2028 i’d say if this doesn’t get fixed. Honestly, I’m scared for when I’m 18.

My drama: okay look, I’m in middle school. Sucky as is right? Now times that by 100 and you have my bsf. I wanted to tell you something that happened with me an her the other day. She reported my friend to the school counselor (because she was worried abt her “friend”) me and my other friend (E) are very close with this friend. Known him sense 1 grade. We know how he is and that he overshares. So after she reported him me and e where sitting in band class and talking abt him and both just started to get extremely worried. (We thought he was gonna get sent to a ward and both of us know how bad they treat u there) on the way to one of our classes from band me and e where talking abt how worried we was and before we knew it we was both crying. (5 mins later) out in the hallway switching classes we where both sobbing. I saw her crying too and went over to hug her and tell her that he was gonna be okay. A few mins later I was crying sm that I couldn’t stay in class so I asked to go to the restroom and my teacher said yes, I was walking to the bathroom and saw her still in the hallway, I went up and hugged her again and told her to meet me in the bathroom, when she got in there with me we where both sobbing and hugging each other. I found out that while e was crying my bsf (a) was giving her dirty looks. E told me abt it and I was ready to fight a. But I knew that wouldn’t change anything so me and e skipped 3rd block crying in the bathroom. Later that night me and a got into a fight abt it and I told her how shitty she was being (a, yelled at e and was giving her dirty looks) and somehow she (a) made the situation all abt her and how she was crying the whole time and how shitty she felt n stuff. I basically told her to get her act together and ended the convo. The day after I was hanging out with a and she said “I was gonna write a su!cide note last night but I didn’t know what to say.” Trying to guilt me (y’all don’t know her but I do and I could tell what she was trying to do) she always does shit like this and somehow I’m the bad guy and I hurt her sm. I’m still friends with her because she’s basically said many times that if we wasn’t friends anymore she would off herself. She’s so toxic and manipulative I can’t even put it into words. This is only the tip of the iceberg.

Now on the other hand when you said "Fortnite is $60" that is Save the World which is more of sort of the original story mode part of the game. Save the World was the original idea of the game. Hence why it's called "Fort Nite" you build a fort and survive overnight as long as you can. The game was first meant to be a zombie horror game but then they added another part of the game which is now the "Main Part" of what you pay for which is a Battle Royal/Creative where you can either play Battle Royal like solos, duos, trios, squads and all those other Battle Royal type modes. Now the creative part is like Deathruns, Minigames, and everything of that sort.
