Syrax screaming when Rhaenyra found Luc's remains was not only her feeling Rhaenyra's pain but an expression of her own pain and grief as Arrax was also one of her sons. So it was two mother grieving together.
We can know what Daemon told Cheese when Cheese asked, "What if we can't find him." Because when Cheese had Helaena, Blood said, "A son for a son, he said." So, Daemon's instructions were, a son for a son, and "... no head, no gold."

in the kids' bedroom, the "ratcatcher" says "a son for a son, HE SAID." to whom do you think the killer was referring? who told that to rhaenys in her first scene? it's the title of the episode. magic eight-ball says "yes!!!"
That rat-catcher would have been slaughtered trying to go up against Aemond.

I do realize I used “they” once or twice but I always thought it was Daemon’s own plan. Rhaenyra clearly said she wanted Aemond and wouldn’t hurt a poor child, especially after losing hers.. Daemon is a loose cannon!!!

I will say that a parents grief can twist their minds in ways outsiders wouldn't expect.
The Strongs are one of the last First Men houses still around south of the Neck. Starks are a First Men house too, Lannisters, Tullys, Tyrells, and Arryns are all Andals that came later.
The Targaryens are Valyrians and have always been a bit picky who they have kids with (officially anyway), so it is very rare for the magic of the Valyrian blood to mix with the magic of the First Men blood, Jon Snow is an example, but so are all three of Rhanerya's brown haired sons.
So was the Three-Eyed crow, but that could be spoilers so not gonna mention how that comes to be.
The Martells are Dornish which is heavily influenced and descended from the Rhoynar, refugees of an ancient river civilization that used to exist on Essos, on the greatest river in the world, the Rhoyne, they were destroyed by Valyria and Tyrion (in the book) has a really interesting journey down the river through the ruins of that civilization.
Of the 4 main races that make up the majority of the population of Westeros, only the Andals have never had any kind of supernatural element to them.
