Nice video again. I like both of you guys’ videos, MDLR fishing and RX Angler and it is very nice that you share these moments together. Both of you are interesting to watch individually, but when you are together as friends and sharing it with us, it’s even better.
I do have to say that I enjoy seeing you out with other RUclipsrs like Nick (RX Angler). I enjoying watching you two. I go out with my wife (yaking) and it really makes the experience so much better. You have also inspired me to try different ways of fishing, which I have really enjoyed. Thank you guys and keep up the good work. Maybe we will see yaw out there.
Love your attitude, you have inspired me to live life more !!! I love to fish. Since watching your video , I will work less and fish more. I drive trucks, I have fished from Miami to California and every where in between . You sir are living the dream. God Bless You And Yours !!!!!
Retiring in 3.5 months, headed to Houston area and my next career like you will be that of a FISHERMAN..im almost there and i hope to meet up with you guys one day with "tight lines"..awesome vids and the inspiration i get after watching ur vids is amazing..thx man
Whiting is best when caught during the winter months in cold water. One of the sweetest tasting fish in the surf. I like to dice the fillet, batter the pieces, then fry it up. It makes some of the greatest fish tacos.
Thank you Mark for passing on your knowledge. I watch all your videos as soon as they're uploaded. Tight lines & all you were missing was A-1 sauxe for that delicious steak!!!
Please do more wade fishing videos in the future please. Especially for us guys that don’t have kayaks. Thank you mark for all the great video content..
Hey Mark! I really enjoyed this video! I hope to see more Gulf Coast campsite catch and cook videos from you soon. I love that you caught the fish right from the beach and cooked them on the tailgate. I love that I can hear the seagulls and beach sounds in your video!!! So many videos out there over use music, I love that you don't! I would love to see a video of you camping on the beach over night, catch and cook of course. How about a fresh blue crab catch and cook? You're my favorite gulf coast youtuber to watch! Keep 'em coming and I'll be eagerly awaiting your next beach video ❤❤❤
Your now an official member of the Saturday Club, everyday is Saturday!! He was swimming just a few minutes ago, that's what you call fresh eating! Great video guys.
Great job! Wade fishing is so much fun! Wade catching is even more fun! I haven’t really used treble hooks with live shrimp like that, I may have to try it.
OORAH Devil Dog...doing a good job with the channel! I got 8-11 more years (depends on if I commission) then I'll be hoping to be in the same boat as you! Hope to see you out on the water some time...keep an eye out for a 21' gray Shoalwater Cat.
Mark nice video, Whiting is really good fried, remember to put a little olive oil in your hot skillet then the butter, your butter won’t burn. Another thing don’t use a plastic utensil on your nice iron skillet, the skillet will pull the chemicals in the plastic and your skillet will start putting the plastic chemicals taste into your food. Mark, up your game learn Wade fishing, and salt water Fly fishing . It will open up your subscriber population. Tight lines ✌️
Great motivational video Mark, thanks. The book called “the 4 hour work-week” can help anyone to reach that lifestyle. And take your “job” to the next level. ENJOY 🎣🎣
Don't worry, soak it up while you can. I always return to fishing. It's my first love, although athletic bikini clad women ran a very close second for decades, along with guitar playing, crime solving, working on motorized stuff and a whole host of other things. I haven't done much fishing since October last year, but that is going to change in two weeks. I'm looking forward to it. Later dudes
I take it the sand out at SLP is a bit more firm from the last time I went out there. Last time I went I buried my truck about 10 foot from the entrance. Awesome vid bro.
I have been fishing the pass since 1992 & I have found out that when catching. Sheep head & drum the gaftop follow after them but after they clear out the Redfish & Specklead Trout follow up behind them usually within (2) hours but certain parts of the flat are Gator Trout Heaven.
You do know that in the near future treble hooks are going to be outlawed in the northeast they already are the in line circle hooks are proper for fishing these days tight lines
@@713_los6 www.lews.com/casting/custominshore Pretty good. I have my eyes on one of those Daiwa Tatulas right now. Might be a better option for you at about the same cost. Tight lines, bud!!
Great video as always , two suggestions however ..down at the pass wear your PFD and shuffle your feet when wading...those lil rays will ruin your day . Your a lucky man and thank you for your service. Set the hook brother
Enjoy your channel and content, Mark, but I have to be that guy and point out that that is _not_ how you blacken fish. Coat cold fillets with butter, followed by so much seasoning you can't see fish underneath. Then give the butter time to congeal before placing on an non-oiled, gray-hot cast iron skillet. It will smoke like crazy, but you're outside so who cares? After cooking, a squeeze of lemon and drizzle of Tabasco (or your favorite Louisiana-style sauce). The crust will be super crunchy but the interior will remain moist and flaky. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
@@MDLRFishing Thanks, Mark. Consider the melted butter directly on the fillets with heaps of seasoning and without any oil in the skillet. It'll result in a super crunchy crust similar to breading. Thanks for your updates. Looking forward to seeing more donkeys!
Lately I’ve been going to Bridge Bait because they have small shrimp that doesn’t look like it belongs in a cocktail. Salt grass is way to big and you only get a few in a pint.
I’m not sure about Nick but I never clean my gear. It has lasted me longer going this route than always hosing/spraying it down. The only thing that gets cleaned are my Conquests, maybe twice a year.
Hey man I’m a big time wade fisherman from the surf to west bay offets clear lake I grew up fishing it all I trout and redfish mostly but sometimes branch out and it would he a honor to link up with you and take you to some spots and put you on some fish if you would ever be interested

Quick question, how do you rig your soft plastics?
Honestly I’d love a video on your fishing setups and how you determine what to throw and when!

Get you a good low-pro reel for wade fishing; the Lew's Inshore is pretty sweet for the price. Calm seas, boss!

Hey Mark, what about wade fishing the surf for specs?
If the conditions are calm I may give it a try.
Whiting is up there with mangroves... excellent eating.
Where exactly in west bay is this at
What bait shop do you go to when you hit the freeport jetty

Cool thanks for the info
That’s a small whiting, I catch 12”-16” whiting in the surf. Check out Beach Bomber’s videos, he’s caught some big’ens.
Where’s that fishing location??
Have you or Nick ever made a video on how you take care of your equipment after using it in saltwater?
