Just amazing!!!!!! Love the fact that the Owner kept it as a derivable garage find. Must be an amazing talking theme in the owner's collection. Hats off to you sir!!!!!
Hoping Porsche continues this for a better word competition. Sets the company apart and gets such positive attention. Love seeing the process and eventual results.
Well, we've seen over-restored to better than factory done for silly money. Now the pendulum has swung all the way over to over-restored faked barn find 70 year patina again likely done for silly money. Obviously money is no object to the owner so it's his choice. I appreciate the effort involved, but I'm not a fan.
The patina doesn't look convincing at all. They just sanded the paint off and left some in the low spots. A real patinated car would look rather different.
How ridiculous. To make it look like a barn find. I’m sure the guys gonna show up with some ripped jeans and old leather jacket. Also I have an old barn. Rich people trying to look like they don’t have money.
I´m not a fan of the rusty look. This one would had looked more appealing if just conserved. I guess the owner will get tired of it being a fake and get it properly done eventually.
Just my opinion, but I think this is a good thing taken too far. But it's his car, if it makes him happy, then that's all that matters. What I really don't understand is taking this car to a Porsche *dealer* to have the work done. Really? Either Porsche Delaware gave this guy the deal of a lifetime (for a dealer) or he has money to burn.

I hope in 50 more years when I'm dead....and my 991.1 is still around......that a restorer.....makes it look pretty again.
Well done. Compliments to the technician.
Nice job. My guess is either the current owner or the next owner will want it painted. Good thing is you've got the underside back to oriignal shape.
Amazing restoration!
Very cool and great vision to create what the customer wants.
Love it, great car

Fully agree 👍
This is a wonderful rat. Just amazing. 😊😊😊
It's not a rat rod. Give it some paint
Wow wow wow WOW
The only guy in the shop that knows how to tweak a carburetor?
Love the car, but not the concept ! Thanks, Rick….. 🌴
Not a fan of the fake. I love patina and originally. This thing needs paint.
Priceless vehicle and basic as it can be. Shines is scary. Barnfind look, perfect.
So, is this the original paint that they stressed and made rusty or was it repainted with the intent of creating this effect?

I have wanted this concept from Beck…they said, uhh…no sorry we only have clean ones….man…I hate that.
Rustoration kinda

You know? You know? No, I don't know, and I'd like to know, but you're absolutely unbearable to listen to, so I'll never know
meh.
I am doing a very similar build with my '57 Coupe "barn find" @stone_city_outlaw .Will see you in Chicago.
