Earths orbit is about 62 miles high (where the atmosphere ends). Mach 7 is 5370mi/hr so doing some basic math, it takes about 41 seconds to do. So yeah might be a little bit too slow in this scene.

@@thechaosgamer1519 What you're describing is "escape velocity", it's the speed that a non-propelled object has to be moving to escape Earth's gravity and not fall back to Earth. It doesn't apply to things that can propel themselves, for example rockets can just keep thrusting until they're as far as they want. Escape velocity tells you how fast you would have to throw a tennis ball into space for it to escape Earth. The tennis ball doesn't have any propulsion after it leaves your hand, it's a ballistic object at that point.
