JEagleton 10 I just placed my order this morning. Stoaked for it! How long should I expect this set up to last? $1000 is a lot of money. I just want to be sure it will last me for a long long while.
@Balto D, Awesome u got this setup, I reckon 5-10 years because the quality of Fanatec is extraordinary. the main thing that makes these wheels go out of date is when the new consoles are updated in future but the wheel should work with the future consoles. If your using a PC then the setup should be Future-proof providing the games are compatible. happy driving :)
Obiously a nice upgrade, logitech wheels look like a toy compared to fanatec and thrustmaster. But man, you should have waited until the end of this year to invest in a new wheel, fanatec announced they are working on a direct drive wheel, same for thrustmaster.. but damn this setup looks pretty!
I cancelled the order today when I saw the Oculus Rift on sale for 399. I figured I could grab that, and the PS4 CSL (whenever the hell that comes out) for pretty much the same price as a V2.5 w/ the BMW wheel. I'm still very new to the wheel market, so a nice wheel base will do just fine for me for a while. Besides, the DD wheels will probably be super expensive when they first launch- and probably stay that way for a while... just like VR did :)
As a G25 owner this is the dream setup... You are one lucky man!

I'm half way there. I have G29 wheel and just recently got Fanatec Clubsport V3 pedals. The reason I did not get the wheel yet is because I want to jump straight to Direct Drive and waiting Fanatec to release its first Direct Drive wheel.

this is the best unboxing that I ever have seen.
This is actually by far one of the best unboxings I've seen on RUclips. Don't have a clue about the setup... In fact never heard of it before... But I'm sure it's well out of my price range. Anyways this truly was brilliant from the unboxing, to the editing and finishing with some great driving skill across all spectrums. Bravo!

Good idea, drive a gigantic, ultra polluting v12 car in a game, be zero emissions irl, and use the gas money every few months to upgrade your stuff!
Everyone complaining about price. Yes its expensive, but people who get serious about the sim are gonna spend it. I just looked up the full kit for this wheel.. not that bad price wise. I have more money in 1 joy stick for my flight sims than the 2.5 base plus 2 wheels.. my rudder pedals cost more than the V3 pedal set by about 100 dollars.. I should have gotten into sim racing, could have saved myself some money!

Well, full Muay Thai gear of good grade costs a bit, good amp and guitar cost a bit... If you divide the price by each day you drive/train/play music, costs seem reasonable. It's not worth buying full Fanatec rig if you drive once every month in arcade game. But if you seem race 4-5 times a week. Hobby as any other.
No idea why I had this in my recommendations but it looks an awesome set up.

Those pedals are like christmas for your feet.
Do those pedals come with engine vibration? And the feel of the road when braking? Just wondering cause ive played many racing games with wheels and pedals and no matter how realistic they make the stearing feel its always laking the feeling of control in the pedals.
@@garyrobbins4562 There are vibration motors on the brake and throttle pedal. More to give a signal when locking up or wheelspin. The brake however is a loadcell based system. Might want to take a look into those. Its way better than most other pedal sets. They do sell some cheaper options than the clubsport ones. I have used a CSR elite set for a long time. They sell pretty cheap second hand. Great pedal set

When you let go of the wheel in a drift and it snaps back to straight: it spins so absurdly fast. Watching this video makes me realize where the real difference in realism is between this and my G920. That wheel spins back as fast as the wheel in a real car with real mechanical steering. My wheel just lurches around at its own pace.
Honestly the g920 is not really good for drifting, i tested in car x racing yesterday, the wheel is way too slow, it fighting against the car :(
Ill just leave with my logitech g29 now...

amstudio i was hoping u did a cooling mod for g29, i was looking and it can fit 4 fans, 2 of 3 cms and 2 of 4 cms witouth modify the case.

In the my opinion the Fanatec gear is expensive, but if you appreciate quality, love motorsports and spend plenty of time sim racing, well worth the upgrade. G29 vs Fanatec, G29 is a good starter wheel but Fanatec kills it, can't compare.

amstudio I heard Fanatec is coming out with a direct drive version. That will be sick if it worked with console and PC. I have been looking into Icarus 180 projected screen, I am shooting to go that route. Looking forward to see what you do with the Fanatec set up.

Great but ultimately the screen is still 2d, so no depth perception. Wearing a vr headset and using this set up now that would be awesome.
I will never want to try VR until they gain stats equal to the current best in monitors, would rather have my current monitors resolution, fps, and input lag than sacrifice it for glueing a screen to my glasses

I recently switched over to a thrustmaster base and the add on f1 rim coming from a controller. I will never go back!!! The wheel is soooooooo much better. You can do it cheaply at first just to see if you like it. Then spend the BIG $$$$$ later on.
Get a G29 logitech just for the feel, G29 I think is very good beginner wheel but the pedals it comes with can definitely get some improvement but the wheel itself is pretty good
