The PFL absolutely missed by not having Francis there the same time as Wilder, Deontay Wilder basically challenged Francis to a fight. If you’re the PFL Francis Hass to be in that building I don’t care if it’s on a couple hours notice what a huge mess by the PFL terrible marketing. This is why Bill never be the UFC.

PFL misses the biggest lay ups. How they didn't get Francis (wearing a PFL shirt) to the even just so he could square off with Wilder is promotional malpractice. Those pictures alone would have been more shared and discussed than all PFL events together in 2023.

All it took was a few stars to align at one event, featuring McGregor in the audience (prior to Perry's face off), as well as others like Gaethje and former UFC fighters like Alvarez, Mendes, Rockhold and Perry, and their reputation/marketability skyrocketed. Why is PFL not following suite? Ngannou, it seems, needs to take it on board himself.
Its really not rocket science just corporations being detached from reality, pfl could pay stipe big money for a 1 fight deal to fight Francis for the rematch and it will sell 10x more than all pfl sales combined… but if they decide to match francis up with some unknown pfl fighter they will loose every single investment they made… but of course working within the company many people think the same way…. but the higher ups never listen and always think they know whats best and when their bussiness goes to sht they just blame the world instead of themselves

TBH I’m pretty over Francis. He thinks he really has star power to sell ppv. Even if he were to get a wilder boxing match I guarantee you it doesn’t do over 400k in buys. I bet you his first ppv with PFL doesn’t do over 200k in buys. I think that the PFL did themselves a disservice by signing Francis. When it’s all said and done by the the time Francis retires, the PFL will have gone bankrupt just for having to pay his wages and opponents. With no real profitable return in ppv sales due to lack of interest in Ngannou. The only fight we want to see as fans is Ngannou vs Jones. Anything else involving Francis we’re just not interested. I’m going to enjoy when Francis gets a reality check after his first fight in PFL and realize that nobody gives a fuck about his fights outside the UFC. 😂

By the time Francis fights again it will have been 2 years since his last fight. He’ll be 37 be then. Again good for him on getting a guaranteed pay check regardless of the ppv sale outcome. I’m just saying he is not a mega ppv draw. He wasn’t in the UFC he’s not going to be outside the UFC. Especially now that he’s outside the UFC chasing a boxing match with Tyson it’s never going to happen. Tyson wants the UFC champ but he wants the UFC champ in the boxing ring he has no interest in stepping in the octagon. In my opinion in the long run it’s a bad investment from the PFL.
