    I always bring a back up option for entertainment just incase my IFE screen doesn’t work, like my iPad or my laptop. This came in handy on my Delta flight from AMS to BOS last year, as my IFE screen went unresponsive with 4 hours of flight time left.

      Yea it's always a good idea to bring a backup iPad! We always bring ours with some movies downloaded just in case but we were upset that this was our second long haul flight with Delta where the IFE screen was not working at all during the entire flight. Expected better of Delta esp in premium economy and hopefully we don't run into this again.

      We hope you have a fun time! Our number 1 tip is to always be well hydrated! And also well rested! I feel like no matter what after a long flight you will feel jetlagged and tired so it's important to have one good night of sleep before the flight if you can. Also we highly recommend bringing some wet wipes, they're good to have just in case. Make sure to always have Japanese yen coins on you as they'll come in handy. If you're traveling in a few months I assume it will be winter, when you arrive in Japan go to a convenience store and buy pocket hand warmer packs! Let us know if you have any other questions!

    I just got back from Korea and chose the same back premium seat going out. The tray was out of service. I thought I’d be fine but 14 hours with no tray was brutal. I had bad lower back pain my entire trip from leaning over to eat my meals on my lap. I also had to ask for a tray when they were serving food. Holding drinks and having nothing to set your stuff on was just horrible.
    They offered me points but not very many. The food was also not great but they offered a lot of snacks and were always asking if I needed anything.
    A few days before my trip back I called to see if it was the same plane and if they’d fixed the tray. They couldn’t tell me but did put a note in my booking asking for me to be moved if the same tray was broken.
    As soon as I got to the gate they were calling my name. It was the same plane and that seat still didn’t have a working tray so they moved my seat to the very front. This flight was very different. It was much more comfortable and the meals were delicious. This flight they served everything with actual plates and silverware versus the flight out was all pre-wrapped meals.
    All the food tasted fresh and the only difference was we rarely saw the flight attendants. They brought snacks around twice on a 12 hour flight and if you didn’t get your drink with your meal you’d have to wait or go up to the front and ask for something.
    I didn’t mind this too much because it allowed for you to get up and stretch and the flight attendants were very friendly.
    Not sure if I’ll choose Delta again for a flight that long when I visit again.

      I'm sorry you went through this. It seems like such a small thing to complain about but in a small space on a long haul flight small things like this make a huge difference! It's ridiculous that you had to eat your food on your lap and hold your drink the entire time. Last year we also had an issue with Delta on our flight from Korea to the US and our screens and charging ports weren't working. So ridiculous to have no entertainment for almost 14 hours. Luckily we had a power bank and our own iPad to entertain us but issues like this shouldn't be happening. And issues like this seem to be more common lately. I hope that things change in the future for the better.

      @@kwon-sisters same for you. Can you imagine both. No tray no entertainment. I mean granted, we are traveling almost magically from one part of the world to another. We should be happy about the gift of flight but man I’ve grown so used to comfort. I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t have a tray until 7 hours in. Then I was counting down the time till we landed so I could get off the flight.
      The comment from the flight attendant “oh you’ll just have to eat off your lap sweetie” almost made me start raging. I feel guilty for even feeling that way. But again not 7 hours in. If I didn’t have entertainment for that long I’d lose it. Such small things but so vital for our mental sanity. Especially when you keep shrinking the seats year after year and we’re stuck in a situation where we have no control if we live or die. These small things help to keep people leveled.
      Ok rant over. Sorry

    • @kwon-sisters
      @kwon-sisters  7 месяцев назад +1

      No worries about ranting! These companies just get more greeedy every year and we all suffer for it. They squeeze us for every dollar they can get while the quality of our flights keep going down not up. Sure the flight is just a means of transportation to get to where we need to but why does it have to be so uncomfortable? The transportation should be just as comfortable as the rest of our trip regardless of the reason why we are flying. With our videos we hope to show ppl what they can expect in terms of service and overall experience.

    Nice video. I would suggest flying the Japanese airlines to Japan for better food and service. I do prefer to fly Delta domestically though. The times I do fly to and from LA and get the LA based flight attendants, the service has been lackluster sorry to say. Happy travels.

    I agree with another comment. Flying to Japan, try the Japanese Airlines like ANA or JAL. I have always had excellent service, food and entertainment flying on either one. Both are top rated airlines in polls of the best airlines in the world. Enjoyed the video and sorry to see your premium economy flights weren't all that good. Video - LIKE. 👍

    I hope Delta reads this review and will improve their basic food offerings. I look at other airlines, especially the Asian airlines, who provide a much higher quality of service. I’m not sure why the American Airlines can’t do this.

    If you take an United Airlines from Newark to Tokyo Haneda via Chicago, It is also very good.

      We've heard great things about United Airlines! We probably would fly with them, only problem is that it takes a little over an hour for us to get to Newark Airport :( LaGuardia and JFK are much closer to us.

      @ajs11201 Год назад +1

      @@kwon-sisters United probably does OK on international flights. However, I wouldn't recommend them for domestic flights in the U.S. For domestic flights, Delta always gives a better experience. Even if Delta is trimming back some of the amenities, they are consistently providing better service than the other airlines on domestic flights.
