@@Anon24052 it's way better than Paul Ricard. Just look the french GP of 2000 Coulthard and schumacher or rubens Barrichello snatching a podium on the final two corners in 2004 . How can you say this track is bad? Paul Ricard that never happens nothing
@@tobias03coimbra52 Give Paul Ricard another 16 races, like Magny Cours had, and I’m sure it’s also going to have about three fortuitous moves that idiots will use as an excuse for the shit racing. Just because you can remember a handful of decent moments out of so many races doesn’t mean that the track is way better than Paul Ricard.
Kimi, today still the last World Champion driving for Ferrari. That shows what underrated he is. Alonso, which is supossed to be better could not achieve this. So I think that there can not be such a difference between this two guys.
@windfall No, not at all. Alonso was leading these Championshing cause (as almost always) cause realiability issues from other drivers. Otherwise he would not have any chance to win any Championship with Ferrari.
0:44 it is just astonishing how early he is on the throttle, Kimi just turns his car and hits the throttle well before the apex and gains a lot of time in the corner exit, that's why he hates understeer because he can't hit that throttle early and has to wait until the car turns and loses that juicy tenths and hundredths. That is why he didn't unlock his potential in the second stint in Ferrari where the car is dogshit and understeers as hell.(2018 the car balance changed to a slight bit of oversteer that's why he performed quite well outperforming Vettel in the second half).
Much better than Paul Ricard
In what? It’s not great to drive and it’s at least as terrible for racing, if not worse.

@@Anon24052 Magny Cours was shit but probably would be better with DRS so who knows
@@SpeedZoneFTW It wouldn’t fix the fact that it’s too narrow and not conducive to following or racing.
Today after nine years he achieves the pole again
Come on, those high speed sweeping corners... Paul Ricard over this? Are you mad?
That was a phenomenal. Love Kimi, his pole positions will always be so vivid in my head
Kinda perfect driving on this lap and Kimi is still fast what prove hes fastest lap in 2017 Russian GP!Go Kimi!
May 2015 and this is still Kimi's most recent pole.
Stephen Taylor May 2017 and Kimi reached pole again
And now he gets pole, sets the fastest lap in F1 history, and wins a race over the course of 2 months
Best season of Kimi and with a big paradox, his worst
Such a smooth controlled lap from Kimi

Kim had a better car... Plus red bull were really strong in the vettel era.. else fernando would have been a champion too
@@samkzz9148 alonso had bad luck too
He could have been a two time champion if they had left the car the way he preferred it,not changed his suspension without notifying him before races

@@thobelomhlope4472Exactly was that.
As of June 9th 2023, Still the most recent World Champion driving for Ferrari.
As of 2025, atleast. Max has got 2024 in the bag in all likelihood
I miss those years
That huge bumps always got me in F1 2006
Million times better than Paul Ricard
April 2017 and its still Kimis most recent pole
may 2017 and kimi gets pole in monaco! :D
Yue278 Yes he did it so happy 🏁
:D yeee finally - 37 year old but still in shape !

pure speed
Is it me, or does that 2008 Ferrari has somewhat diffrent red on it compared to other years?
Yes, this era of ferrari's ran with a darker and more crimson looking "ferrari red" as opposed to the more Marlboro orange of the Schumacher era.
@Justin Y The Robber I agree tbh, black wheel covers really work with the darker more crimson red. Would rather the glossy look over the matte though!
Your right.
And only for very very bad luck he was not able to win Sunday.
Like looking in a museum
This is insane
Is it just me, or does this track look like it would work well with the new regulations?
Always like magny course and you are 100% right, it would be a great gp for the current regs
2024 anyone??🙂
The last chicane gives me Montreal vibes
What a narrow track at some points
I know it sucks :(
Räikkönen scoring a pole? Has RUclips bugged or something?
