A BIG THING that people leave out about Floyd's fight with Canelo is the fact that Floyd was at the decline of his physical peak while Canelo was still young and strong. Pretty Boy Floyd would have finished Canelo.
Idk man, when he was Pretty Boy he had a completely different style, he was on the front foot and wasn’t as defensively sound as he was during his Money May era, which didn’t rely as much on physical prowess as it did on timing and experience, two very different Floyd’s!
@swiftlessytvlogs5637 i have to strongly disagree with you. Floyd has always had superb defense in all his fights. Floyd never let himself get beat up. He just had to prioritize it later on due to his fragile hands and bigger weight classes taking more punishment. The biggest difference is when Pretty Boy counter punched you, it was the beginning of the end versus later opponents being able to eat Money's counter punches.

I’d give. Crawford’s IQ a 9 in comparison to Floyd’s 10, purely because Terence gets caught a bit more and a bit more than Floyd did, however Bud’s front foot game and switch hitting is far more advanced that Floyd’s was so a 10-10 is fair, however, me personally 10-9 Floyd because I believe mastering defence is harder than mastering offence in the ring.

Request: could the grades be out of 100 instead of 10? Floyd gets 100 iq. i think a 9/10 is too low for crawford, but it’s def not as high as floyd’s. This speaks a bit to the 10 point system being frustrating in boxing, as dominant rounds will be treated the same as debatable rounds if there is no knockdown.

Floyd is on a tier Crawford has no shot at reaching. He should be in the conversation of who would win between him and the likes of Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Marvin Hagler, Roberto Duran, etc. The biggest knocks on Floyd is he didn’t fight the best when we wanted him to and the era he was placed in. But even with those knocks, Floyd fought greater greats than Crawford ever could. People might think Crawford would give him problems but I would bet anything Crawford would get completely dismantled by a prime Floyd.
Floyd fought as soon as possible always sending the contracts first, even pacquiao ducked him on a 50/50 offer the first time
