oof it's been a while since i made a full blown animatic. I finally got my hands on an actual animation software last year but I've rarely used it til now bc it was intimidating ;-; now that i understand it a bit better, Windows Movie Maker is definitely goin in the bin cuz that made the process of making animatics like two months longer lmao

You never think of the protagonist's feelings. This one was continuously put through what seemed to be long, unfair, meaningless trials. Anyone could break under such heavy burdens.

bcoz the mc was meant to be the player, us unlike ingo which we saw and have interaction with and know he have someone and their bond from the game and the anime.
we dont have any connection with the mc or know his/her story before getting yoinked by Arceus so theres the gap. The mc also dont express the feeling of forgetting something or any emotions in general as well as tell their feelings in feeling hollow or empty
@@zrothepangolin This is also why people don't care about Anabel as much as Ingo. Heck, you could say they care about Mohn more than her once they realized he's so close to his family without realizing. While yes, we KNOW Anabel is a Faller from Emerald, she has no memories whatsoever about her past. She's aware of what happened to her and how her past is missing, but she has moved on and accepted it, and strives to help others like her by joining the International Police. While she did have 'friends' in the other Frontier Brains, Ingo had a brother, a TWIN brother, so that hit's so much more emotionally hard to fans. Also, Ingo DOES recall at least some of his past, which makes him long to remember it even more, adding on to the emotional pain. Anabel's situation sucks just as much when you think about it, but her story seems to be more 'resolved' than Ingo's, emotionally speaking. She's not haunted by ghosts of her past, it's just blank, so she moves on with her new life. We also know less about her so, frankly speaking, we have less to fret over or care about.
@@PinkSneaselGirl i think gamefreak did that to showcase how one can cope with sudden fall into a world different from where they belong.
Ingo's the pain having his memories so he is trying to find answers or a something to make the emptiness he feels go away.
while Anabel or the others lacks memories of their past or the emotional connect to it, like they can remember things but feel nothing about it so they move on easily.
like i was surprise the anime didnt show Emmet trying to find Ingo in the special episodes for legends arceus.
and i think the fallers are their own ancestor in the Legends universe. Like Anabel will be the ancestor of Legends future Anabel like a time paradox but not entirely since they came from another universe.
so if they wont return to the future we know why emmet and ingo looks like that.
I like to believe that at the end of the game after catching Dialga, Palkia and having a fragment of Arceus you can literally go home whenever you want and being a Time Traveler it means it’ll be like you never left Same for Ingo. My personal Headcanon is that at the end of the game when theirs literally nothing left to do you and Ingo just go home.
Same. Like the only reason you don't is because that's not the nature of pokemon games. Like yeah absolutely eventually you get sent back at the end but for the sake of gameplay they don't show it.

Everybody knows about what happens with Ingo, nobody thinks about the fact the MC is separated from their two friends and seeing one of them's ancestors.
I'm glad someone include the protagonist feelings in this keep up the great work
No but literally- the entire time I've been playing the game, my brain has just been,,, "what about mc's feelings? like, if this were me, it'd be cool, sure, but it would be devastating to be pulled away from all of my friends and family- and then reaching the end where Arceus just tells you, 'yeah go catch every pokemon and then u can meet me and ask why I pulled you here, maybe-' like bruhhhh I'd be sobbing too"
This made me very happy, seeing some animatics using songs from The Last Unicorn, honestly.. too epic for words.
Getting flashbacks to The last unicorn. This animation is so lovely, I like how you textured the hair on the characters it looks so soft.
It was criminal that after going through all that in the game, the mc (and Ingo, for that matter) never got to return home. It was what I was working towards the whole game and it just never happened.
Great choice of song. It's been many, many years since I first heard it. And the art is expressive and coveys all the various emotions the mc must've felt being pulled away from their home and loved ones and trying to return from where she came.
Also, it's amusing to me that when I see these many fanart of PLA that the majority of the fans treat Akari as the default character. I also picked her, myself. It's funny that somehow so many people regardless of gender just agreed on that.
This is amazing!! The anatomy and the expressions of the characters are on point! Your storytelling is really good as well!
I wish legends would of given the player character a personality and story like depicted here. Give our character the ability to express their feelings on the situation.
It's ambiguous, and I didn't apply it to my playthrough (I was playing as a different character) but Rei/Akari being the original Lucas/Dawn, chosen by Arceus to save Hisui for their achievements, lives in my head rent free
This is lovely! The framing, animation, song choice etc. And I think the protagonist deserves a little angst too, the poor thing. Kudos for including Barry, I have a soft spot for him but no one else seems to ever mention him.

Hey, How about sending them both home? Because of PLA, I have a verrrrrrrrry big soft spot for funny train men, and I'm sure I'm gonna die of heartbreak if they don't reunite them. With is something that can happen BTW.
Now this is a 3 minute test for how much sadness you can handle if I've ever seen one! What a beautifully done piece of art! My eyes stung because of all the crying..
MAN this is such a COOL ASS ANIMATIC every bit is so inspired by the game and well made, I loved how well you matched the lyrics to what was going on with the story, just outstanding work

I remember feeling betrayed by the commander when he said it was my fault that things didn't go back to normal after I did the task HE assigned me to do. He told me that doing it will help me win the trust of the town, that it would make it a place I belong. But that moment just told me that HE NEVER TRULY TRUST ME when he was the one I trusted most to have my back. Then an other betrays when the people of clan diamond and Pearl recognised the all the help I gave them but refuse to help me for fear of the commander. If I had actually been there, I would have probably try to kill myself, or at least fell into depression. Cyllene got big mom points for sending her Abra behind the back of the commander to help me.

I was exposed to the movie, Last Unicorn, at a very early age. I couldn't have been older than 4 or 5 at the time. And believe me, hearing these songs always, ALWAYS brings a tear to my eye 😥
I could spend a long time trying to compile a nice, clean comment with everything I like about this but my attention span is short and so is my motivation, so I’ll just spill everything.
I LOVE your style and the editing, and the perspectives you used are SO GOOD? And the shading and the backgrounds, it’s all SO GOOD. I love the little additions to the story as well to portray the main character’s struggle. I love this so much, AMAZING job!!!

I swear Legends Arceus is the best Pokemon game ever made by GF since Gen 5
Not gonna lie, this music video hits hard... especially the scene where Akari is walking down the road, trying to focus on her map but it's storming and Wyrdeer makes her stop and rest. Just a good moment there. Same with the scene with Kleavor...you literally feel her exhaustion...she (or he if you play as Rei's avatar) have been put in such a position where they're expected to seek out all Pokemon, n create the first Sinnoh/Hisui Pokedex, and quell the berserk nobles...and then they're blamed when the sky turned red and everyone turned their back on them. Gosh it's heavy stuff. You wonder how the protagonist feels about it all. this shows that perspective...I wanna see more like this.

dude I looked at this and I legit felt bad for the mc like they dipped and stranded in Hiusi then get kicked out of everywhere after they have saved their whole civilization and I power if this was a free way play I would have gotten the "a child who is not embraced by the village will bun it to feel its warmth" is what will go down I the galaxy crew and and I would have already learn how too do and survive
