Ever doing a rear spoiler install? Great videos

The ridged part of the filter should be at the top and bottom so the groves run perpendicular to the ground. The filter has an airflow indicator which should point towards the rear of the vehicle.

I saw that in another video. But does it make a difference? Airflow direction might be a thing, but does it matter what orientiation the filter is in? Isn't it square?

Just FYI, the screws for the filter cover are NOT 5mm as stated in the video. They are SAE size 7/32. Very stupid but not a surprise coming from Chrysler.

I work on a lot of abarths in the uk and we have to remove the 17mm bolt on the steering column and then move the steering column out of the way to be able to get to the 5mm bolts and remove the cabin filter.

I had no idea there was a cabin filter in this little car , I notice odor just after I turn off the AC , I imagine this has more to do with the cooling coil than the air filter being dirty , but I believe my 2017 is 5 treats old now , def past over due !

Do a Multiair Vavle Spring Upgrade for the 124 spider please.

With all of the initial problems these “upgraded” springs caused for many fiat owners, we are not a fan of these. From my understanding, the initial problems have been corrected though. We will not be doing an install video on that but thank you for the request.

Is the cabin filter directional like the engine filter?

This type usually is directional. It'll be marked with an arrow. Haven't changed it on my Fiat but looks the same as 90% I've changed.

Just tried to do mine, but apparently my bolt size for the filter cover are not quite 5mm. I tried every socket in that size range but nothing. There is a small plastic lip around the bolts that may be impeding the socket making good contact too, but no dice. I may have to go yell at a Fiat tech at the dealership now.

I just found the same thing. After a bit more digging it seems the screws are American standard 7/32
