Much different than the standard 500 model. Thanks for posting, DM Performance & Fabrication. I have friends w/ one of these "X" models. I have a CRV.No tools involved.
Yes thanks mate - just done mine with the help of your video. Interestingly UK cars being RHD don't appear to have the bracket over the filter cover to remove. Cheers again!
No problem! I'm going to do more video's like this to help people with repairs on their vehicles. There is many things that can be done DIY without taking it to a shop and paying a lot more. Thank you for watching!
Hi! 1st I thank you for this video! I watched it twice because I need to replace the air filter in my 2016 Fiat 500x. Can you tell me exactly what tool you used to remove the screws? They seem to be so tight & I don't have a tool to remove them. Ty so much!
Do you have one on changing the oil in a 500X? I've change oil before, but wasn't really sure where I should put the jack stand after I use a floor jack at the pinch wedge lift point.
No I don't as it's my sis-in-laws and she's still getting some free oil changes. As far as where to place the jackstand, a good place is actually at the pinchweld or further in where the uni-body frame extension is. Any solid spot on the undercarriage is a good spot. I looked and theres is actually 3 or 4 different places where it can go.
it a sick joke dreamt up by an overzealous idiot engineer who thought himself to be so clever. i had to buy a special set that had that ridiculous size.
Thank you 🙏 so helpful!

Is the pollen filter located in the same place for right hand drive models?

How often does the cabin filter need to be changed? Is this something that would be automatically done by dealer when I take it in for oil changes?
Why is it a 5.5 holding down that plastic cover.

This goes to show how stupid Chrysler/fiat is at designing things. This filter is so much easier to change on Japanese vehicles
This really is not that difficult. Not sure what people are complaining about.
IMPECC MERCI
A freaking 5.5mm.........
they couldn't engineer it worse
Yes they actually did. On the 2017 Fiat 500X lounge model. It's worse.
