How do you personally prepare for spiritual battles in your daily life, and what role do you think St. Michael’s Lent could play in strengthening your faith?
Fasting has always been a way I prepare for spiritual battles, but I’ve been horrible about it the last few years (after resigning my church position and not attending church for over a year😳). So, I’m really excited to jump back into the practice, especially so early in my Catholic journey. Also, I like a Discord channel, but you’re also great on Threads so I’d say I’m good to tap in there as well💪🏽💪🏽
I love your enthusiasm and willingness to dive into this! It’s gonna be a great, deeply spiritual 40 days. Yeah threads is solid. As soon as discord left my mouth I was like eeeeeehhhhh that’s another thing to monitor LOL
I love your video and am trying to get more males involved in this Lent because it is such a great way to encourage increased spirituality especially in men due to the power, masculinity of St Michael. I'm female and I too am loving this Lent! Another way to be ready for battle is to try to get 8 hours of sleep each night (so far, I have not been able to do so). I also am trying to add some visual aids each day - there are tons of cool images, statues, etc, of St Michael. I encourage people to get a St Michael's medal or prayer card - something to help remind them and keep them battle-ready! As far as "fasting," I am waking up an extra hour earlier each day and doing the Chaplet - I do the Divine Mercy Chaplet but people could do the St Michael Chaplet. I know that getting up an hour early is really hard for me and therefore invokes some suffering, and thus makes my prayers more powerful. I pray for all of you and that St Michael keep you and your loved ones safe!!!!
@@Christine-h1b Thank you for your support! Your commitment to this is amazing, and I hope more people follow suit. The benefits of spiritual and physical discipline aren’t specific to men or women. We all benefit, and we all need this for even a chance at holiness. You really get it! Sleep is a critical part of this; a rested mind and body set you up to succeed, and having visual elements around keeps you in the zone. You’re approaching this properly!
@@marianmuscle Thank you!!! I am sharing your video with some men in my life who really, really need it. My closest relative is doing St Michael's Lent for the first time, and his life is so hard right now, and this is the only thing getting him through. He loved your video and wrote to me about it today because it helped get him through another very challenging, painful day. Bless you for your good work. I love your helping young fathers! Bless you and your family always.

The 2am vigils on Fridays have drawn me closer to God.
