    Gaborone population is around 250 000. Gaborone is surrounded by big villages. In the west of Gaborone it is a village called Mogoditshane with a population of around 90 000, Mmopane 25 000, Metsimotlhabe 11 000. In the east of Gaborone another Village called Tlokweng with a population of around 55 000. In south west of Gaborone a village called Gabane with a population of around 20 000. When driving around Gaborone, you will not notice whether you are still in Gaborone. There is no forest between Gaborone and these villages it is one thing. They have modern structures.

      This is not really true. Gaborone today consist of Gaborone itself, Mogoditshane, Phakalane, Tlokweng combined. Roughly around 280,000-300,000 population. the above sounds more like something that was googled.

      @@TshumuKokgalagadi Actually they are... LOL. Gaborone has expanded in the past 20 years. Just as Broadhurst, Block 8, Phase 4, etc. didn't used to be part of Gaborone, it expanded. Gaborone when it began was simply around where Main Mall is, but as the city grows, so do the limits.

    Man i love your video, but i really struggled in the full sense of the word when i visited Botswana, and it breaks my heart having to say this because i think the people are generally nice, first of all the thing that really completely ruined it for me was the weather, Botswana is blazing hot man, its like i was in a 86 degree fahreinheit/ 30 degree celcious oven i felt that won’t lie, i love clear blue skies with a bit of white clouds i mean who doesn’t but the heat was serious i could barely walk in the sun for two minutes without gasping air really, the heat was beyond excessive, fun thing is that it rained on my last day in botswana in a little city cold francis town which is a border town between zimbabwe and Botswana and the weather was generally bad with light showers and grey skies and most people from Botswana were happy and the lady at the reception of the hotel i was staying in asked me if i was enjoying the good weather because it had been blazing hot🤷🏽 it is in that moment that i realised that the weather which europeans generally consider bad weather and that is grey dull skies and rain is actually considered good weather in botswana and perhaps places like namibia as well which are generally hot and dry for most of the country. In namibia however i enjoyed my stay in two cities and that is swakopmund and walvisbay, the weather is not consistant but its just lovely down there one moment its sun the next is windy and after an hour its a bit hot and humid and in the next 2 hours you got light rain showers and so i loved that but other places like kharibib, otjiwarongo, windhoek are generally depressing in terms of weather with temperatures as high as 88 degrees fahreinheit, i really enjoyed my stay is south africa though especially in capetown undoubtedly the best experience in south africa, i made a round trip from south africa to namibia to botswana and finally to Zimbabwe and the best expirience of my visit to those southern africa nations came in Zimbabwe, i stayed at crown plaza hotel in harare for 2 nights, and man the weather was beatiful with sunshine all over and cool weather, i then visited a little called nyanga in the eastern highlands which has beautiful mountains and really nice weather, it can get a bit chilli down there because of all the mountains and the high altitude above sea level but its a beautiful and probably the best weather in africa, lastly but not least i visited another are in the eastern highlands called bvumba/vumba man what a discovery that little town was, on our way to vumba we passed by a city called mutare and our guide was telling us the british dubed this city little london because of its beauty and he was telling us how queen elizabeth II and the queen mother visited the leopard rock in vumba, which is where we were staying and the queen mother said there no place more beautiful in the whole of africa and i said to him the beauty of this place and the perfect weather and scenery can’t be compared to anything on earth brother and i said to him the people who said that had not seen something more beautiful than london in all their lives till they visited the eastern highlands in Zimbabwe, Africa is truely beautiful.

    Gaborone is a Capital city Sir by stature .......that's very important ...where you live may be a larger cityby comparison ....but Gaborone ranks with the likes of Washington DC , Pretoria , Harare, Moscow....by stature Sir..by stature...calling it a town is a little...*meh* if you know what I mean ....but you did a good job nonetheless ...kudos..

      @@travelconnect1 Yes it is...but by stature it is a CAPITAL CITY just like Pretoria, Harare, London, Paris , and Moscow....that you can never take away from our good old Gabz..thank youu very much..

      @alexchui3511 14 дней назад

      @@luxenvan Cool down. Gabs is nice and the video proves it but it is a small city/town by many standards. Gaborone is like one part of Nairobi city which is a city of 5 million plus people. What he means is that Gabs is not a big city by proper defintion.

    • @luxenvan
      @luxenvan 13 дней назад +1

      @@alexchui3511 I am down mate...the fact remains Gaborone is a Capital City and ..not a town...and is of the same stature as all the other capital cities worldwide...of course Gabs is smaller. But it remains a city...nothing less.
