I love this! I do not have a green thumb either. Just make sure you get in there and dust. I found these cabinets never are dust proof. You can get more of the molding, and painting and then put it on the inside of the cabinet. I miss the size of rooms in the US, in the EU the rooms are not as open and spacious. A nice panoramic picture above the cabinet would be beautiful. Like a sunset, or flowers that are shot from the below to a mostly clear sky. Or a misty forest, or the ocean.

Beautiful ! For the inside of the doors where you didn't paint and you can see the white- you can just use some black electrical tape, creating your grid. When you open the doors- anyone seeing the inside will think it's painted!
Great job! Cabinets and bookshelves can be a pain in the rump to paint. If you ever choose to do a similar project again and it comes in a box with "some assembly required" LOL, paint the inside surfaces prior to putting them together, it will save you a lot of time & effort. I have been a furniture painter for many, many years, and now I have chunks of hair missing from the lessons I have learned! 🤪
My mouth dropped when I saw the finish product. You and the hubby have mad skills...LOL. I'm sorry but the one from Pottery barn simply doesn't compare to the one you did! I absolutely LOVE it!
The cabinet looks awesome! The reason there are so many steps to building IKEA furniture is, they make it affordable because, it is flat pack! Their concept is you pay less, you put it together, you can get it in your vehicle to take it home and you don’t have to order and wait for it! If you go to a furniture store you will pay much more, may have to have it delivered or you will wait weeks!

Yes, Georgia, more Ikea stores. We live near Lake Lanier and it takes a hour to get to the Atlanta store. You did an absolutely fabulous job, beautiful!
