hi buddy guess what my seals gone petrol in the gearbox oil and my revs went up i have ordered the viton oil seal kit so with your videos i should be ok 👍
Done seals went well needed a clutch side woodruff key so my build stalled a few days i noticed the hub seal was in the otherway did some research and it does go with spring in seal inwards not outwards thanks for your videos i will be back on road very soon
They put the seal in different ways on the engines, I always look at which way it was in originally and follow that, if its the one under the hub , they all seal with the spring towards the gears. Thanks for the update
Another great vid! Great info given on the oil drive cog fitting taper towards the crank. That's difficult info to find!
That's what I am hoping, people find out bits other videos miss out, thanks Paul for your kind words👍
I used my clutch and a few washers to pull it in. Worked a treat.
Thank you for your feedback, good luck with your rebuild
I have dismantled a few engines and as soon as you see any sign that someone has been in there before you 10 to one there's a mess somewhere
Couldn't agree more
your seal is made of rubber. what you to recommend rubber or metal seal.
Viton are metal with viton covering them

There are a lot of experts saying that you don't need them. I say better safe than sorry, good luck with your scooter Paul😉
