- Ole Miss and Oklahoma played in game 1 of the 2022 College World Series Finals. It is a best of 3 series, with game 2 on Sunday at 3PM ET, and game 3 (if necessary) on Monday at 7PM ET.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Dude, I have chills right now. I feel like I’ve been watching Ole Miss play for years and they always come up a little short. But now watching them in the CWS Final, hearing the ENTIRE CROWD yell “BOOM!” after the back-to-back-to-BACK HR’s. It’s unbelievable. Oklahoma has a great team but I’m sorry, this is Ole Miss year…

I was rooting for them all year for some reason and I had just thought they weren’t even gonna make it but now they are here.

LSU fan here… but the Back to back to back home runs in the 8th inning was 🔥 SEC!
Looking back on it now, Ole Miss sweeping LSU in the regular season really showed that the Rebels were not going to mess around in the post-season. That back-to-back-to-back home run streak in the 8th really proves that here! GG from both teams. From an LSU fan, you gotta respect the game, not just the team you're rooting for.

TIM ELKO! Who remembers seeing him tear his ACL last year during the season, decide not to get surgery and GO OFF in the Super Regionals last year? He was so hot they intentionally walked him every time he came up. They fell short last year but I want to see them win it all this year for ELKO!

Great game for the rebels. Really showed how much they wanna win, especially beating Arkansas and destroying OU in this game. Oklahoma pitcher has great movement but the catcher made too many errors. GG'S to all.
OU only recorded one error as a team and it wasn’t on the catcher, so.... balls in the dirt are wild pitches, not errors.

This game was so fun to watch in person I was their in Omaha we hit back to back to back beer was thrown everywhere

My TV was loud and that crowd gave me chills in the first inning.

Calm down, a Mississippi school had never even been relevant in baseball until last year and that team didn’t even make the post season this year.. it takes more than a couple of years to make that claim, there’s multiple schools who have more CWS championships than Mississippi has appearances..

A super regional this year between two Mississippi teams for a berth in the CWS and it wasn’t even State, it was Southern. You and Hunter Biden must be getting down on the same crack pipe. Oh and BTW, Pearl River Community College won the National championship this year in JUCO ball, another MS team. Probably time for you to eat some crow.
@@jamesong.a.7695 only 4 teams have won more than 40 games for 5 years in a row and two of them are from Mississippi (Ole Miss and Southern Miss). This doesn’t even include the team that won it all in 2021.

Watched this on ESPN 3. All pitches were shown via umpcam until a foul tip in the 7th hit the camera. Couldn't see any pitches until sometime in the 8th, just the batters head and shoulders, and the horizon. Didn't they have a centerfield camera so we could see the pitches, or some techy guy to fix the umpcam between innings?

No the players playing for the college World Series will just go back home and work a regular 9-5.

@Ramsay… A lot of ole miss players this year came back from last year instead of going to the mlb JUST FOR OMAHA AND THE CWS AND BC THEY LOVE THE REBS AND KNOW they had a loaded team with a lot of talent

The MLB draft has been moved to mid July. So none are in MLB yet. Previous to 2021 the draft was in early June. I can recall a lot of players over the years that were drafted just before the CWS.
Most of the guys will be going pro in in some other businesses besides baseball.
In the first three rounds of MLBs draft they will pick about 100 players. Surprisingly, nearly half will be from high schools, and baseball academies, foreign and domestic.
I think it’s a shame that MLB will take a chance from these 18 year old kids to have the college experience and education, very few make it to the “bigs”.
