But I doubt it's always on at the same time. I guess it is for the most part a conscious activation, but for fight or flight type responses it will be activated regardless, but at the same time how can they even develop a fight or flight type response if they can't even react in time by I.E deactivating the speed force... It's kind of weird in that regard although this is a cartoon admittedly I guess I shouldn't pry too much into the logic of it.

Either they kill off a main character, then bring in a new hero too take their place, then they bring the original hero back so now there's more than one, eventually 15 retcons down the line you show all the heroes that have ever had that super power in one go and there's way too many people with that one power.
Although they are all speedsters they do have different abilities they use their speed for. Like in the comics Impulse can make clones of himself or Wally can steal other people's speed

This would be true if Barry Allen weren't the very embodiment of the force that Wally taps his power from. Barry can travel back and forth through time as well, just without the Cosmic Treadmill, it becomes more guesswork.

And Barry has to use equipment to come anywhere near Wally's speed. Wally doesn't need any help at all. He just does it. His reflex's are far superior as well.

The first part of the fast dialogue is Impulse: I understand, but after that where are we going? Flash: Should we consult the group? Then the cop starts talking and drowns them out.
After having watched this specific scene way too much, I finally realised something. There's no reason why the Flashes speed talking should change the pitch. The pitch change of speeding up recorded sound is an artifact of shortening the intervals between the recorded sound waves when playing them back. The Flashes are still using their anatomy, vocal cords, lungs etc. normally, but just moving faster. There might be a change in how it sounds, but a pitch change wouldn't be it. If anything they'll either have to talk at a lower volume because while they can move fast, the volume of air in their lungs stays fixed, or if they want to maintain the same volume, they might have to start drawing more air into their lungs at a faster rate, thereby creating more and more wind noise interfering with what they're saying. Either way, it's not as if real-life fast talkers, auctioneers, and speed rappers talk or rap at an ever higher pitch as they speed up.
The difference here is in the method of speeding up. What you're referring to doesn't take superpowers into account. To Flash and Impulse, they're probably speaking at the same speed they normally would, just activating their super-speed subconsciously; presumably, activating super-speed dilates their perception of time and also increases the efficiency of their breathing, to compensate for the increased oxygen demand of their brains at the increased speed of thought. Similar to how the doppler effect works, if Flash and Impulse are speaking normally to each other, then to everyone whose time perception wasn't dilated, the pitch would rise, as the sound waves would be pushed closer together. Sound doesn't always work the way that seems logical.
you're on the right track, but i think there might be a gap in your understanding of how the human body produces sound. their vocal chords produce a pitch by vibrating...but the speed force literally make it happen faster, so they would vibrate faster, producing a higher pitch. real-life fast talkers are not speaking normally and then using superpowers to speed up everything they are physically doing. they speak more quickly by shortening the length of time that they are producing each pitch, as well as shortening the silence in between each distinct sound they are making. in other words, the rate of vibration of their vocal chords are not changing, they are simply vibrating their vocal chords for a shorter duration of time between each distinct sound they wish to make. that is not what the speedsters are doing. the speedsters are speaking normally, but within the influence of the speed force. then everything outside the influence of the speedforce perceives their actions at a faster rate. it is, actually completely analogous to speeding something up in a recording, because that is what the speed force is doing.

Always hated how they nerfed Wally into the slowest speedster in YJ when he's supposed to be the fastest.
To be honest, when Wally took the mantle of the Flash, in his first adventures as the Flash in the comics *_The Flash Vol.2 (1987-2009)_* he was very slow than others speedsters because he had a impostor sydrome. Barry Allen is like his father and the Flash is his hero/idol of his childhood. Later in the comics in the classic run of _Mark Waid,_ Wally West broke that mental block and became *The Fastest Man Alive!*

One of the downsides of being a Flash, according to Barry Allen himself, is trying to keep up with normal people's conversations.
Flashes essentially have to *concentrate* to slow down to the rest of the world's speed, in order to communicate with and hear others.

In the comics yea. He more or less casually travels through time through sheer speed.
This would be true if Barry Allen weren't the very embodiment of the force that Wally taps his power from.
Barry can travel back and forth through time as well, just without the Cosmic Treadmill, it becomes more guesswork.

There is a huge difference. And Barry isn't the embodiment of the speed force. He more or less created it, but he is not the speed force by any means.
And Barry has to use equipment to come anywhere near Wally's speed. Wally doesn't need any help at all. He just does it. His reflex's are far superior as well.

After having watched this specific scene way too much, I finally realised something. There's no reason why the Flashes speed talking should change the pitch. The pitch change of speeding up recorded sound is an artifact of shortening the intervals between the recorded sound waves when playing them back. The Flashes are still using their anatomy, vocal cords, lungs etc. normally, but just moving faster. There might be a change in how it sounds, but a pitch change wouldn't be it. If anything they'll either have to talk at a lower volume because while they can move fast, the volume of air in their lungs stays fixed, or if they want to maintain the same volume, they might have to start drawing more air into their lungs at a faster rate, thereby creating more and more wind noise interfering with what they're saying.
Either way, it's not as if real-life fast talkers, auctioneers, and speed rappers talk or rap at an ever higher pitch as they speed up.
The difference here is in the method of speeding up. What you're referring to doesn't take superpowers into account. To Flash and Impulse, they're probably speaking at the same speed they normally would, just activating their super-speed subconsciously; presumably, activating super-speed dilates their perception of time and also increases the efficiency of their breathing, to compensate for the increased oxygen demand of their brains at the increased speed of thought. Similar to how the doppler effect works, if Flash and Impulse are speaking normally to each other, then to everyone whose time perception wasn't dilated, the pitch would rise, as the sound waves would be pushed closer together.
Sound doesn't always work the way that seems logical.

you're on the right track, but i think there might be a gap in your understanding of how the human body produces sound. their vocal chords produce a pitch by vibrating...but the speed force literally make it happen faster, so they would vibrate faster, producing a higher pitch.
real-life fast talkers are not speaking normally and then using superpowers to speed up everything they are physically doing. they speak more quickly by shortening the length of time that they are producing each pitch, as well as shortening the silence in between each distinct sound they are making. in other words, the rate of vibration of their vocal chords are not changing, they are simply vibrating their vocal chords for a shorter duration of time between each distinct sound they wish to make. that is not what the speedsters are doing. the speedsters are speaking normally, but within the influence of the speed force. then everything outside the influence of the speedforce perceives their actions at a faster rate. it is, actually completely analogous to speeding something up in a recording, because that is what the speed force is doing.
