Thank you first of all for being nice. For not needing to use ugly words. I have been perusing the internet for carnivore channels and content and there are just so many folks who I’m guessing have a lack of larger vocabulary so that they feel the need to use those ugly little 4-letter words instead.I realize that is the world all around us but I choose not to invite that into my home, so again, thank you! And thanks also for your content and cheerful thorough presentations!!
Does it splatter all over? did you put a tray on bottom to catch drippings? I've used instant pot, it contains the splatter, but the bacon ends up all curled up.
SUPER HELPFUL VIDEO!! I have been struggling with meat chips that are easy, with good texture and don't require a slicer. I'm going straight to Costco and making these today. I already have the Cosori...it's been collecting dust for months. Time to bust it out! 🧡 Thank you!!
I've been wanting a dehydrator for such a long time to help kick my potato chip habit. The 6 tray cosori was on sale for a price I couldn't pass up so I jumped on it. This will be the first thing I try, never even thought of using steak sheets!
When I saw this video come up, I had to run out and get some steak ums and they just came out of the dehydrator. I was a little worried because while they were drying the smell was a little off. I’m not gonna lie, it reminded me of dog food. But omg, when I tried it, just wow. They had a buttery flavor with a slight crunch. I can not believe how easy this is for something so delicious. I thought it would be similar to my dehydrated sliced beef chips, but it’s completely different. They will be a weekly occurrence for sure. Next up is your beef bars. Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic recipe..
Thanks Joe & Rachel! I'm going to have to try this one. I ended up getting the MEAT! Your Maker 10 tray dehydrator and using the thinly sliced New York Strip from Costco. Looking for your bacon jerky
Hey, took me over 6 hours but my $20 Aldi Ambiano Dehydrator did the job… it went up to 160° so not sure why it took so long… but, I spread cream cheese and everything but the bagel seasoning on them and they are soooo good! Not exactly carnivore but whatever, haha… thanks, Guys, you’re the Best!
Ok…My next appliance..😊. I think I will get the 6 tray one. Also, I ordered a Ninja Creami Deluxe after your video. It was hard to find. It was always out of stock. But I finally found it. You guys are awesome! I don’t know why you don’t have a million subscribers.
Oh my gosh..perfect video for me tonight...just got a cosori 6 tray dehydrator last week...ive dried zucchini, cucumbers, mint, lemon balm, blackberries...not ill stop and get steak ums tomorrow
Thanks Rachel & Joe. Appreciate so much taking time to share how to make meat chips. My Breville oven has a dehydrate button. I’ll have to try a small batch.
I've done these in the oven too, but I cut them into chips sizes first. Getting ready to head out on a camping trip. Going to make more for when we are on the road.
My local adian market sells paper thin slices of every animal meat on the planet for shabu shabu. I just did this with lamb in my dehydrator and it turned out to be $.20 (cents) per serving. I never buy from the company that sells the crisps because its too expensive and I control the salt and the price.
I love you guys! Just pulled my $20 Aldi dehydrator out of the attic…lol…also have dehydrator in Ninja Foodi and grill…now to watch vid on bacon jerky!
Hiya! I hope you are still answering questions on this. I LOVED these right out of the dehydrator, I still loved them the next day. By the next morning, after storing them on the counter top in an airtight container they were no longer crispy. Any ideas as to what I might have done wrong? Thanks!
I prefer the analogue Excalibur as all of the fancy electronics just adds things that can go bad. The only control on the Excalibur is a potentiometer which is easy to replace..
I made these today. Some got sprinkled with gochugaru chili flakes, some with fish sauce, tobasco, siracha. Delicious. Can’t wait to try it as a sandwich.
Oh my word! I'm watching here from Canada & wondering if our Costco has those Steakums here!!! If they do, I am totally gonna buy that deyhdrator! 😂 I can totally see how this meat snack alone could help sustain a Carnivore lifestyle! TY so much!
That sounds and looks sooooo good. I've been buying shaved beef from Meijer and Aldi. Lots of little bits of very thin beef. Lots of Redmond's sooooooo good.
I do too. Makes really good jerky. I also use carne picada beef. Just salt. It is so good I eat it all the time for breakfast on my way to work. I usually get it at Aldi.
I've made these twice since buying the Cosori dehydrator. I'm looking for a cart to put it on. Do you have suggestions? What cart are you using? Thanks.
Thanks for sharing! I've been putting off buying one of these newer dehydrators for a while, but this is making it more and more tempting. I've been making meat "chips" using Land-o-frost meats and I've just recently started making beef jerky from lean ground beef and drying it in my convection oven for 6 hours. I could probably make at least a double batch using the dehydrator instead of my convection oven. 🤔 Considering how much I'm REALLY enjoying the jerky and now seeing these "meat thins" makes this even more tempting!
I can attest to how good these are. I started making them several months ago when I ran across some steak ums on sale cheap. I did over dehydrate mine because they were crumbly and very delicate . But still very good. I will try not drying some as long. Thanks! I want to add, if you run across a decent deal on thin sliced ribeye make some jerky with it it's really good and easy too. I love my dehydrator. It's an off brand. Works great. I always use silicone liners on the trays. I bought mesh ones, they make cleaning the trays easier and stuff doesn't stick.
maybe a fine mist of water right before putting them in the dehydrator, and then sprinkle the salt or what ever seasoning would help it stick? What a great idea!
I'm not looking to buy another kitchen appliance so I'll try it in the toaster oven or regular oven. You can also buy thin sliced chicken. There is such a thing as a Philly Chicken Cheesesteak.
What cut of meat is this? We have so much beef since my family owns a small cattle ranch so I can’t justify buying this premade beef at Costco. Is it just thin sliced roast beef? Thanks
I am very interested in making meat thins and chips, but I also dehydrate cheese (1 tray in fridge) often for popped cheese as well as grow a few herbs (air dry). Do you know of a dehydrator that does room temperature as well?
@@Carol32547 The popped cheese? Cut about any brick or wheel cheese (the harder or drier it starts out the less it needs to dehydrate) into little 1 1/2 inch long sticks that are 1/8 - 3/16 inch thick. Place on tray uncovered in fridge for 3 to 5 days until very hard. Then arrange on the periphery (center will burn) of a microwave safe plate covered in parchment paper or a silicone mat and microwave on high for 45 - 60 seconds until popped and starting to brown. Remove from microwave and let completely cool. Nowhere as crunchy as Moon cheese but the same concept. Hope this is helpful.
Doesn’t the ANOVA precision oven dehydrate? I know that is not what you bought it for but I was wondering if you’ve ever tried to dehydrate in it or will you ever try? I have the ANOVA oven, so I guess I need to try dehydrating. Then I will need to see what is more cost effective (buying more racks or buying a dehydrator). If the ANOVA works that would free money up to buy a food slicer.
omg, I wanted one so badly... went to Amazon, checked it out and then started reading the reviews ... but after reading the 1,2,3 star reviews, now I'm concerned ... most of those the dehydrator quit working, yikes .. now going to go look at the 6 tray dehydrator , 6 trays also has issues .. going to see if I can use my air fryer as a dehydrator
Thank you first of all for being nice. For not needing to use ugly words. crunchy is definitely a texture I look for every day
I have a cosori 10 tray dehydrator and am currently dehydrating bacon. It comes out crispy, non greasy and Smokey. So good!!
Does it splatter all over? did you put a tray on bottom to catch drippings? I've used instant pot, it contains the splatter, but the bacon ends up all curled up.
What settings do you use? temp/time - try hillshire farms thinly sliced hard salami - 160F/10 hours - meat chip is amaziong

One of the best things about eating keto is that I had bacon jerky for dinner. Thank you Joe and Rachel, for the recipe.
I've been contemplating a dehydrator for a while now.. this has sealed the deal

I'm looking at the MEAT! dehydrator and trying to decide between the 6 and 10 tray.

Love and blessings to you both.😜😉🌹
Awesome...buying the sliced meat is genius!
LOL. The little “sandwich” looks like a S’more! 😂😂
Great job. Just got my dehydrator today. I had been making jerky in smoker but was looking more for the chip and crackers.
This I've been looking for. More & easier jerky-type carnivore snacks. Awesome! Thanks.
Thanks Rachel & Joe. Appreciate so much taking time to share how to make meat chips. My Breville oven has a dehydrate button. I’ll have to try a small batch.
Joe, A+ for a great simple recipe! I’m often intimidated by new kitchen devices. I could do this. I could def do this. Thanks for sharing 😊
I bought a septree 10 tray off of Amazon. So far really happy with it.
Wow! What a cool idea! Thank you so much! Currently trying it in a cuisinart on the dehydrate setting. Yummy I can’t wait
Great idea, guys! Thanks for the tip.
I love how excited you guys get when you taste good food… “oh ya”…. Love it!! Going tonight to get some and try it.
I've done these in the oven too, but I cut them into chips sizes first. Getting ready to head out on a camping trip. Going to make more for when we are on the road.
How hot and how long in the oven?
Finally a simple recipe I can test out my dehydrator with for the first time. Thank you!
Genius! Former chip and cracker addict here. THANK YOU!

Just ordered the dehydrator through your Amazon link. Can’t wait to start making meat chips. 😀

Thank you for this awesome idea. Can’t wait to go to Costco
Awesome stuff. Thanks for sharing! Great idea I hope to include. We do some jerky but little pieces. This is great idea.
What a great gadget, Two Crazy Ketos!😋👍 Y'all are making me hungry 😊 Have a blessed week 💜 🙏 ✌️ 🌞 💐 🎶
my dehydrator is arriving tomorrow - heading to Costco today to stock up on the steaks!
Wow!! I love this idea!!! Can’t wait for my next trip to Costco!! Thanks!!!!
I'm definitely going to have to try this in my air fryer convection oven.
This is so great! perfect for back to school!!

i have this dehydrator and i absolutely love it 👍. I can’t wait to try these meat thins ❤
Can you use your oven? If so, what temperature and how long?
I want to put keto teriyaki (just soy sauce and allulose) in a spray bottle and spritz the beef before dehydrating! Looks amazing!

Dollar Tree 3.00 Steak-ums...was very good
I bought the anova oven and it is amazing!!
Love new options that save money & taste good! 🎉

Have you tried this and did it work
I'm going to try taking the meat thins with the provolone cheese combo dipping it in egg and coating it in Nilis protein panko and air frying, yum
I'm not looking to buy another kitchen appliance so I'll try it in the toaster oven or regular oven. You can also buy thin sliced chicken. There is such a thing as a Philly Chicken Cheesesteak.
I'm pulling my Steak Ums out of the freezer now! YUM
That is cool. Do you refrigerate or store on the counter after dehydrating? Thank you for all you do. You two are great.
we leave them on the counter but you can keep them in the fridge for longer shelf life
@@2krazyketoshow long do they last? Fridge and counter, please?
Now you've done it, I have to buy a dehydrator.
😋😋😋 I wasn't hungry until I watched this video
Awesome, thank you!
I'm thinking of putting this dehydrator on my Christmas list. I love me some dried meat. 😂
What cut of meat is this? We have so much beef since my family owns a small cattle ranch so I can’t justify buying this premade beef at Costco. Is it just thin sliced roast beef? Thanks
Yum, thats great and easy way to make a meat thin
Rueben style: Swiss cheese, caraway seeds, a thin smear of Thousand Island dressing. 😊
I see you got the Creami breeze on the counter , I still want to see Your T-shirt collection and your coffee cup collection.
I made 8 lbs of venison jerky on my dehydrator this past week. It was a bit too spicy for my Mr so I have it all to myself!
I'm hoping that these can be made with my Ninja Foodi on the dehydrate setting.
I'm going to put one in my 29.00 dehydrator as a volunteer!
I wonder if brushing Worcestershire sauce on them would give a good flavour?
Yes
you might try white cheddar
Intro song is familiar😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love the info
The new Kitchen Aid electric range I bought air fries and dehydrates.
I am very interested in making meat thins and chips, but I also dehydrate cheese (1 tray in fridge) often for popped cheese as well as grow a few herbs (air dry). Do you know of a dehydrator that does room temperature as well?

@lorim.4136 thankyou!
You two are so cute! It's ridiculous!!!
our costco doesnt have the philly beef like that. I bout the thin cut beef and have twelve trays going right now or our Denver trip.
Looks delicious
I have the 6 shelf cosori and wish I had the 10 shelf.

Yes, you can use the Anova to dehydrate. We will make a video on it. The reason we don’t is because it doesn’t make enough at a time for us
Can you use an air fryer ?
could it work the same at a lower temp? 🤔
Air fryers don’t go that low
I only have a circular dehydrator. Think it would be ok to cut them before dehydrating to fit more?
yes

can u use the steak ums in ur pemmican recipe
Why did I watch this AFTER today's Costco trip?!?
How long is it good for?
I missed seeing the package - what is it called? Is it in cold section? Frozen?
Frozen section. They are steakums. Any brand will work
So what was the total cook time?
I have a little oven with a dehydrator function. Can I make them there?
You can try
I wonder how these would turn out in the smoker🤔
mine melted when I heated them up, what did I do wrong?
Has anyone made these in the oven on the lowest setting?
Here's a tip, less flexing more cooking
Do the meat thins need refrigeration??
No
Would it work if I used my air fryer on dehydrate for 165° for three hours? Thx!!
So you don’t have your refrigerate them just air tight container
it depends on how long you will keep them out. A few days is fine, beyond that, I’d put them in fridge since there are no preservatives
How long at 155???
about 4 hours
cabela 1 tray dehydrator
12 tray
I can’t wait to try these. I bought the 6 rack Cosori. I can make these until I get a meat slicer.😊
Anybody know how long and temp in the oven?
10:20 yall
Soylent brown is made of cows!!!!!
I gave up watching after 5 mins of woffel.......
