Ville Koivunen has NHL contract but his contract includes a European Assignment Clause. He has played in Finnish elite liiga and done 21+34 in 57 games. Sebastian Aho did 20+25 in 45 games in his last year in the Finnish league before came to NHL.
Last U21 player in Finnish elite liiga to score 55 or more points was Saku Koivu 1994-1995 season (Ichecked from eliteprospects). Koivunen was also captain of Finland U20 team and has gotten 2 caps in Finlands adult team. Ok to the little tournaments they test player who are not even best finns in Europe.
The 2nd rounder they’d get in the case CAR doesn’t make the final is Philly’s pick, so it’d be higher than CAR’s. Also Dubas didn’t trade down last year either and you guys were going on about he would, just saying lol

They also didn't mention the Elias Lindholm for a 1st, Kuzmenko, and 2 prospects rental or the Henrique for a 1st rental. Weak analysis from out of Toronto.

Sure, but what they are ignoring is that Guentzel is an elite talent. A two time 40 goal scorer. In fact, the ONLY 40 goal scorer that Crosby has ever played with. He’s by far the best winger Crosby has had. It’s not even close. A true homegrown player

Because he traded a top forward for basically Bunting. The other guys will be lucky to ever play in the NHL. Dubas didn't get a #1 pick or one of the top prospects from the Canes. Monahan was traded for a #1 pick. How do the Pens not get at least that?

Not saying I'm satisfied with this return but since there's practically no chance anyone will take the boat anchors off their hands, trying to cling to the 4th cup fantasy is not smart.
Pens are trying to retool and go for it again next year. I think any assets they pick up this year will be for the future & some to flip for next years run

Koivunen is projected to having top 9 upside. Needs to improve skating though. It’s Lucius who was scouted as maybe not translating to the NHL game
