Great video. I know I'll have to watch it several more times to get this all down, but I love the end results and the method. Excellent explanations and tips. One of the best teachers on RUclips in my opinion.
Appreciate the no soundtrack and the way you break down the process in to recognizable and distinct parts. Wondering how long it took you to become proficient at this?
I have a lot of trouble getting white jel pens to work, and that white marker as well seems to evaporate and not white enough. Is anyone else having this problem?
Yes most gel pens I’ve tried aren’t very opaque. The uniball signo white pen is pretty good. But the best is the Posca markers in my opinion. Maybe the video didn’t show it effectively 😊
You work and method of explaining is so expressive, delightful, beautiful and so very helpful and inspiring - thank you!
Appreciate the kind words Adrian!
@@SketchingScottie You are welcome. You have more than earned them.

thanks! That’s hard to say, I’ve always loved drawing, I started portraits in 2018, but really got into this style about two or three years ago.
you're amazing.. thanks for sharing your talents, very useful video.. however, outlining the silhouette is not really that easy..

Even when I use the Loomis method I still fail.
did you every draw with tomfoxdraws book and his methods?
I have done his course on Domestika a while ago. He has a great technique!
I have a lot of trouble getting white jel pens to work, and that white marker as well seems to evaporate and not white enough. Is anyone else having this problem?
I've found that Posca pens work the best for me. You have to shake them up "really good"...so the ink is more opaque. See if that works for you.

nice.😊 Loose illustration but accurate
Thanks Ray!
