I learned an exploit that you can rest until zero stress, even if you're maxed out, with one wrench. You seal a single door room, rest. Load the auto save and it allows you to rest again. You can keep doing this until you reach zero stress.
I think it is a very good alien game (in the first 2 missions) however after that is too reliant on sentries vs large alien hordes. If they would preserve the suspense from the early game it would be more fun.
LOL. Absolutely not. It's an abandoned project. They pushed 1 major patch and a hot fix. Bugs that existed since it's realease still exist, including multiple game breaking progress locking bugs that halt your campaign completely. Absolute garbage game. Something must be wrong with your brain.
@AllergicFungus I never had a bug on the game. Could be your playstation 🤔. They now made it so you can upgrade your players higher so they are stronger. Try it again.
They really need to add randomly generated maps and a remove timer option along with greater hardness. The game is excellent but extremely short and really no repayability. A random map generator would fix that tho
U can turn the clock off now also in the options. But a random map generator would be amazing. OR! The ability to enter randomly generated hives and clear them out as a game add on would be dope AF
@@tbaymufon6448 yep, and I would think it wouldn't be too awful difficult to do. Or even better add a modding feature and allow the community to access the assets to create maps that people can share
You’re not exactly wrong, but you’ve also laid out ‘if you munchkin things, the game can get easy’. This even fits in with the Aliens franchise. The premise is never ‘Xenomorphs are an incredibly dangerous threat to informed, prepared, equipped, trained soldiers’-stuff has to break bad first in some key ways. Corporate greed, bad leadership, bad luck, or just being a bunch of space truckers, and THEN they’re incredibly dangerous and scary. But if you’re a squad of Rileys geared up with an APC right there, you’ll lay waste to ‘em.
I think aliens should be dangerous if they get close to a marine, and at the same time very fragile to gunfire. Not sure if you know the older alien games like AVP1 or AVP2. Where aliens were extremly fragile, however they could also oneswipe a marine with one melee.
I read that in the last mission you should use the marines you want to discard (like low lvl ones) bc in the end your squad dies. So when you go to NG+ you have the marines that didn't deployed.

trying to figure out how you are that far into the game and are still using the basic pistols as side arms. Also, you only get XP for clearing the onslaughts and class 2s, which i think is worth 3 XP per marine total, you dont get XP for killing normal aliens, at least not anymore.
There is 2 reasons. The first is that I like to play with the original movie gear, which had 1911 pistols and m37 ithaca shotguns. And the second reason is that I rarely run out of ammo to the point where the secondary weapon matters. Shhh, they may patch it.

Why don't you use reprimand ability against the stress? You have enough command points for that.

It's a new game where you keep your marines and their skills from the previous save.
