- The biography book of Steve Jobs was released in October 2011, and immediately it became Amazon seller Number 1 of the year. Certainly, Steve Jobs is considered a genius. Despite the fact he was not the one, who revolutionized microcomputers technologies, he is the most recognizable. Probably, it is because of his countercultural mindset and worldview.
Job’s first started serious relationship when he became a college student. He fell in love with Chrisann Brennan, born in 1954. They tried to break their connection for several times, as the relationship was complicated according to their memories. In 1977 Chrisann got pregnant with Steve’s daughter. Brennan’s pregnancy made a point in their love connection, as Steve never wanted to become a parent at that age.
The computer genius officially got married in 1991 with Laurene Powell, who was born in 1963. Laurene was a student at Stanford, when she met her future husband. Steve was giving a lecture at that time. The same evening they went out for a dinner. They became parents of three children. Today Laurene is a successful businessperson, and one of the most influential women in tech industry.
Lisa Brennan-Jobs was born out of wedlock to Chrisann and Steve in 1978. Jobs denied his paternity until DNA test proved he was Lisa’s biological father. Apple co-founder didn’t actually communicate with his daughter Lisa until she was 8. He even changed her surname in a birth certificate for Brennan-Jobs. Thus, Jobs admitted he wasn’t a good parent for his eldest daughter, anyway he named one of his first significant creations Apple Lisa after his firstborn.
Lisa Brennan Jobs is now a well-known writer and an accomplished journalist.
Reed Jobs is the only son of Steve and Laurene. He was born in 1991. The boy got his name after Reed College, which Apple CEO attended for 1 semester. His father’s disease drastically impressed Reed and influenced his choice of the future career. The young man now studies oncology at Stanford.
In 1995 the Jobs family welcomed their second child - Erin Siena Jobs. Steve and Erin never had close “dad-daughter” relationship. Nevertheless, they have very much in common. Erin doesn’t like being in public, preferring to lead private life.
Eve Jobs is three years younger than her sister. Born in 1998 she was the last child to Lauren and her genius husband. However, they say Eve really knew how to take on her remarkable dad. Eve is an experienced equestrian. Her mother even bought a ranch in Florida where Eve can train and compete. The youngest Jobs’ daughter studies at Stanford, like her elder brother Reed.
