Someone floated a theory that because Loki sits as a kind of custodian of time the Time Stone gets it's green color and that blew my mind. Any time someone uses the Time Stone they are literally tapping into Loki's power.
This is quite possibly the single greatest anything the MCU has ever produced, I seriously believe these two seasons are better than both Infinity War and Endgame. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has grown into one of the greatest characters and performances in the whole of the MCU, right up there shoulder to shoulder with RDJ’s Tony Stark.
I haven't felt so emotional about an MCU project in freaking years, this is the real MARVEL, beautifully written stories about characters that we can relate to done by talented people who are actually PASSIONATE about it.
The fact the CGI in this show is way better than the Marvels shocks me honestly. Like the shot with him walking up to his throne while pulling the branch timelines is one of the most epic and awesome scenes in Marvel I have seen.
The Marvels had a song and dance segment. No amount of storytelling can justify that stupidity. Bottom line is that not a lot effort was made to make it a legitimately good movie, whereas a lot of thought went into making this series both logical and impactful.
The Marvels was ment to be stupid, they need those type of movies to have their stupid crowd remember their name so when they actually put money on a proper film they will get their butts on the cinema
This has become one of my favorite scenes in the MCU. Everything that Loki standed for, everything he once desired and further what he wanted to redeem came to this inevitable fate. He finally fullfilled his glorious purpose.
The fact that he originally auditioned for thor makes this scene so much more impactful. He was meant for this role as he's carrying the mcu on his shoulders.
Loki has been both literally and figuratively carrying the MCU for the past few years, with the obvious help from GotG Vol. 3, Moonknight, and Spider-Man No Way Home. Now we got Deadpool and Wolverine who will fix the MCU
@@RitheeshJegadeeshyes but what Yggdrasil represents in this continuity is the a branchable multiverse. It’s not like kang multiverse, it’s a multiverse of free will that can branch.
He's not Kang, he's not a god, he's not He Who Remains. He's who we need, who we deserve. He will sit upon his throne forever for his glorious purpose of allowing our stories to exist.
Just watched the last episode with my parents. I was NOT expecting the ending to play out the way it did. My jaw was dropped and I had tears streaming down my face. What an incredible show this turned out to be.
Love the Ygdrassil reference in MCU with Thor and Loki. Thor in Love and Thunder passed his powers to those kids visualizing the Ygdrassil glowing in lightning, and here Loki pulls the universe branches to create a mutliversal Ygdrassil. Now if they conclude Thor's arc in the MCU with the RUNE KING storyline then I will be a happy man. They both deserve their send off as Gods!
I hope that once Thor is pulled into multiversal war with Kangs, someone from TVA takes him to Loki so that they can be reunited once more. Even creators of the show wanted this reunion to happen, although not here yet.
Not only did Loki learn all that quantum physics from Ob, he saw Kang equations. Plus Asguardian magic gets greater as they age, and Loki spent centuries practicing temporal manipulation. Every step of the road made him able to do this.
After seeing this epic masterpiece, i believe it's time for Chris Hemsworth's Thor to get a proper great character development and truly shine just as much as Loki did before he stops playing the role. He has to become the worthy mature Thor we all know and love, once and for all permanently, no more character regression and assassination. He should become *the Rune King Thor.*
If that’s going to happen, Taika Waititi CANNOT be anywhere near Thor. Taika is one of the most juvenile (and low key grimy) directors in all of Hollywood. He would NEVER allow Thor to have a dramatic, respectful, emotional, and serious send off like Loki. I honestly partially blame Taika for making the MCU as juvenile as it has been for the last half decade. After Ragnarok did well (which I honestly have no clue why), Marvel Studios created a formula that would mimic Taika’s constant in your face slapstick comedy, bright colors, and grand cgi spectacle. In Taika’s movies, mostly nothing matters and it’s all done for mindless entertainment… which is now exactly what the MCU has become. Thankfully they’re seemingly trying to get back on a more focused and dramatic path. Hopefully that means Taika won’t be invited back. If there was ever a time to send Chris Hemsworth’s Thor off as Rune King Thor, it’s now! I think it would be very poetic and a fitting end for Chris’ legacy.
@@buccaneercatI know MCU Thor has probably suffered enough loss but I’d love an Old King Thor film in the style of Logan. I honestly wish they would’ve saved The God Butcher arc for that & just went R-rated by using with the comic storyline, rather than wasting 616 Gorr like they did.
Why does this show look so good? I'm not just talking about CGI, I mean lighting, cinematography, editing. It's so insanely better than rest of MCU projects (non-Netflix related) because even their best movies look like asphalt.

tom is an amazing actor ..he's efforts playing loki is truly outstanding no one but him could have done any better...im glad people are recognizing him...cant let thor have all the glory after all ;)
What I like about the time slipping scenes and him learning about physics from OB is the fact that they make a great excuse for Tom's irl aging. He didn't change THAT MUCH since Avengers, but just enough for you to start noticing the wrinkles, more tired eyes, and overall rough face compared to how he should look between Avengers and Season 1 of his show. It is especially noticable once he finally wears the crown again and screams. Now it makes sense. He was similarly as old as Thor, who said he was 1 500 years old in IW. Give it few centuries here, few centuries there, and Loki could be 2-3 000 years old. When arguing with Odin in The Dark World about being gods, Loki says that Asgardians live for "give or take 5000 years" compared to humans, so when you do the math, Loki should be in his PRIME age by now compared to being a young adult in Thor. Loki is basically in the best shape he's ever been, at peak of his life with insane powers and knowledge, even wisdom thanks to his character arc. He is the most mature god of his entire pantheon, I bet he even surpassed Odin. Far from the young boy and resentful schemer.
i like to theorise that since now he exists completely out of any sense of time (or at the end of it), he no longer ages. a grim fate but it would be weird if this kind of role required successors...
He's not really an asgardian though, he's a frost giant and we don't know how long they live in the mcu (although maybe we can assume the same kind of lifespan)
Surprised so many fan girls are still watching MCU after endgame. Since thats when MCU died according to all the lil girls saying Loki is carrying the MCU hahaha sorry not sorry
This was by far Marvel's best storyline and redemption arc. This series was phenomenal and godly in it's truest nature. From Loki saying - "You're all Beneath me" in Avengers to "The sun will shine again on us brother" in Infinity war to Loki implying - "You're all with me ❤️" in this series finale, what a great character development! Hats off to the years of work done by the writers. I wonder what Hulk would say when he watches this season finale - Puny god no more 😅
Crazy how Loki went from being a villain the big bad of phase 1 to now being a hero and protector of the multiverse in the multiverse saga. Better hero and character development then any avenger in my opinion.

Someone floated a theory that because Loki sits as a kind of custodian of time the Time Stone gets it's green color and that blew my mind. Any time someone uses the Time Stone they are literally tapping into Loki's power.
You could say that anyone using the power of time outside the TVA is essentially using the lokiforce..
Loki achieved something many of his counterparts wanted. GLORIOUS PUPOSE!
The Marvels was ment to be stupid, they need those type of movies to have their stupid crowd remember their name so when they actually put money on a proper film they will get their butts on the cinema
what's.. the marvels? i've never even heard of it.
Yes i agree it is amazing and the music goes with it so well. I wanted to cry lol it was so epic... Best ever!
And don't forget the cgi for the gold like substance, cherry on top
Haven’t had a character/redemption arc this good in Marvel since Tony. Absolutely brilliant storytelling that can only be told through years of films

Indeed and truly, The glorious purpose
Just watched the last episode with my parents. I was NOT expecting the ending to play out the way it did. My jaw was dropped and I had tears streaming down my face. What an incredible show this turned out to be.
Never imagined when watching avengers as a kid that Loki would sacrifice everything and become a hero what a amazing character he has become.
From Marvel's greatest villain to perhaps its greatest hero. I salute thee, Tom. Your character was unparalleled 😊
Such a bittersweet ending for him.
@@mavvynne444 I think it's just sweet. He found his glorious purpose.
@@CramcrumBrewbringerBut he suffers for eternity...
This is what a Glorious Purpose looks like
Not only did Loki learn all that quantum physics from Ob, he saw Kang equations. Plus Asguardian magic gets greater as they age, and Loki spent centuries practicing temporal manipulation. Every step of the road made him able to do this.
THIS
THIS right here is how you give a proper send off to a character that's been around since the beginning of the MCU
It's so insanely better than rest of MCU projects (non-Netflix related) because even their best movies look like asphalt.
because Waldron wrote a series that had a concrete plan and a cohesive vision that everyone on the production understood. It's essentially an entire series dedicated to fleshing out Loki and psychoanalyzing him
Its up there with the netflix shows
@@marvelousdceditsLoki is better than Netflix shows. Better than daredevil too
@@theutheone Good summary. It's like, writing a whole book from beginning to end. You have a vision and you need to see it through. Rule by committee, twitter feuding, and corporate kneejerk interference ruin a lot of good series.
@@theutheone The credit goes to Eric Martin actually. Waldron actually messed up Season 1, made Loki Sylvie's sidekick. In season 2 Eric Martin made sure that the spotlight was on Loki the entire time and he had authority.

Wild how 2 versions of Loki ended up having AMAZING character development.
This is still the original Loki but from a different point in time. Not a separate timeline. He remodeled the tva and saw his future in the sacred timeline, but then rewrote the entire thing by becoming the god of the multiverse.

The unprecedented extraordinary legendary scene ever. And the self-sacrificing is so touching.
Heartbreak of people in true love often leads them to such a point that makes them realise that they are meant for a greater cause.
Loki becomes a true hero. Saving the universe and timelines from destruction, by holding them together and created the new world tree. After all the years of being a villain, he has found his purpose.
the moment when he stopped Sylvie in time without any device like he who remains, I was damn impressed, but the ending was far more greater than that...goosebumps.
Loki went from viewing godhood as a right and privilege to a responsibility that requires a major self-sacrifice
Godhood is making self sacrifice. It funny how it use be the other way around. Look at past how Gods use act. Odin did, and his Father before him and his father etc.
‘You either die a Villain or live long enough to see yourself become the Hero…’
Itll be strange now rewatching the older movies where he is an antagonist, knowing that he will become a hero with more impact on the universe than any other character. I love it.

He was 29 when casted, now at 43. Truly a Glorious Purpose!
Would he still be physically aging if he’s time-slipping, though? Wouldn’t he be resetting to relatively younger versions of his body?
i like to theorise that since now he exists completely out of any sense of time (or at the end of it), he no longer ages. a grim fate but it would be weird if this kind of role required successors...
He's not really an asgardian though, he's a frost giant and we don't know how long they live in the mcu (although maybe we can assume the same kind of lifespan)
Show had me on the edge of my seat. So glad they went with a tragic ending. Really made Loki's story have a massive impact
Loki's arc was amazing in this show well written well executed story line

If you notice they are turning characters into the manifestation of the infinity stones. Loki is time, Wanda is reality, and with vision returning in a upcoming show that would fill in mind.
