In 4 weeks I start on my Corsair build. Very excited. I have lights, an engine for the prop and a custom designed pilot of my dad. (It was his favorite ww2 fighter before he passed). Great work on this build and it’s great to see your craftsmanship!!!

I'm 90% finished building (haven't even started painting exterior) a slightly different version and your video perfectly illustrates the precision of the Tamiya 1/32 Corsair series. Without a doubt the best engineered best fitting kit I've ever built.
If anyone thinks there's a better one out there, let me know please :-) Already thinking of a Spit next, would DEFINITELY be a Tamiya kit!

Nice choice! I recently read that Tamiya's Spitfire kit (I do not recall which mark, nor which scale) modellers had voted the best kit (I do not know if they meant for all time, or of that year).

Pourquoi les maquettistes font-ils essentiellement des avions posés au sol (trains sortis) ?
Pourquoi jamais de simulation d'avion en vol, train rentré hélice tournante ?
Bj, jepense qu’il y a deux réponses à cette question
- Les trains et puis de trains sont des parties intéressantes à faire et à détailler pour ceux qui font du scratch et de fait un avion trains sortis offre différentes options de cockpits ouverts.
- L’une de mes vidéos Le Mig 25 (très peu détaillée) est en vol car l’option était proposée mais j’ai du acheter un support et l’adapter pour la présentation. Même si les trains sont fragiles je dirai que ce type de fixation l’est encore plus.

Je peux comprendre tes arguments mais pour moi un avion n'est jamais aussi beau que quand il vole et bien souvent les trains en cassent la ligne, par exemple le Hawker Harrier, le BF-109 ou le Spitfire sont affreux trains sortis (c'est une opinion personnelle hein☺️)

I especially would like to convert a Corsair F4U-1D (the first version to meet qualifications for landings aboard U.S. Navy aircraft carriers) kit to a Corsair F4U-1C model, with four M3 Browning 20mm cannons in lieu of the six machine-guns, as Bert Kinzey ably illustrates with digital photographs of that variant in his book F4U Corsair, Volume One (Squadron Publications, Carrollton, TX USA); his Detail & Scale series of monographs on U.S. military aircraft provides concise, accurate information of both the actual warbirds and the known model kits depicting them. However, I have no wherewithal to represent the unusually long barrels and the oversized spring mechanism encompassing them.
Attention, Tamiya: we urgently need, please, 1:32nd-scale kits of the Lockheed P-38F/G/H and J/L Lightning USAAF Fighter. Perchance could the series be ready prior to late autumn in time for the winter holidays, please? We all would thank you with all our hearts-especially Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and their Elves; they all have been terribly, terribly busy with billions more people than when they first had started . . . . (BTW, knowing them as I do over these past decades, I can categorically deny the rumour that their youngest son, Escape, finally has graduated from law school to become a contract law attorney.)
I really don' get why people make silver chipping effects on fabric covered surfaces...
Under the protection layer you reach the aluminum. Also we can put a light grey, it’s less shiny. A bit more realistic 👍
