Nice collection of WW2 era German daggers !!
I have a friend who works in construction . He was working on an old mans house, breaking down walls . When they started cleaning the rubble one of these Nazi youth knives was found . He kept it
This is great Hans, you should post this on Reddit to garner more peeps, i would say many would enjoy this, maybe not on Coh but the history subreddit would be golden
Damn, i'd never suspect you Hans to start historical series, but that's amaizing, i like to learn about WW II so i'm very exited
Interesting!
Outstanding
Ehm ... Why is he saying that the RZM code contains "what month it was made" etc? Such complete crap. The RZM code says what maker it is and thats it (appart from "7" wich it means it is an edged weapon, should anyone miss that). In this case RZM 7/19 = Ed Wusthof.
Great video! You should do more videos on these german daggers as there are soooo many more types that are even more amazing.
a great insight into history - loved the PAK shell!
I think I saw one of SS knife at gun and knife show here in New Bern.
Super cool video. I wonder if you guys could make one about soviet regimental flags (the ones that were carried around battles not only for propaganda effects).
I had one of the ed wustoff that was tran with motto and rzm and maker mark on same side. Plus one reason their wasn't Roscoe's on early ones is because they were made from leftover parts from World War 1 period and some of the blades were from bayonets and and they shorten the blade that some of the reason why the Roscoe may not be there. These look to been polished I don't see no cross grains in the blades really.
Wow, very good idea for a video series. I have enjoyed this part very much, really looking forward for another :D
You can also found thicker blades on early hj knifes
Excellent video 📹
I have 1 original 2 class war merit cross.
if he needs a graphics designer me and my team would be happy to help for free to give back a little to the community
This absolutely amazing Hans I think we all enjoy CoH2 and learning about all the equipment used is super interesting.
This is very interesting
They stopped making Hitler Youth, SA, and NSKK daggers in 1943. They did not continue producing them up to the end of the war.
That's actually not the case. Furthermore, the last "official" year for the cessation of production of the Youth knife is largely regarded as 1942 not 1943.
There were significant numbers of surplus stock still available for sale in shops not to mention replacement components/spares etc... There were also daggers such as custom pieces, honor blades and various other specialities which were still in production.
I know someone with an original ss dagger. How can they get it appraised?
I got 1
Why arent you talking about the Austrian Transitional HJ dagger which doesn`t have the diamond emblem, but its a shield form with the swatiska centered. it was only produced in a period of ca 5-6 months, before the austrian HJ was blended together with the german HJ, and then they all used the HJ dagger with the diamond emblem, and the other austrian model was discontinued ?.
hi i know i off topic here, recently i picked up COH2 full pack from steam, the last time i played COH1 was probably 10 years ago when it first came out. i wanna ask, how am i supposed to unlock the strumtiger commander? i just can't find a commander that can call in the strumtiger and i been playing kow exclusively against AI...do i have to play a certain time to unlock it or what? thanks!
Mine has 3 digets M7/51/38
Why are you handling edged weapons without gloves? , if you feel you need to have your sweaty hands all over the blade please wear cotton gloves at all times otherwise the natural acid in your hands & finger tips will leave imprints on the blade, unchecked and over time can cause serious damage to the polished steel...
he said he wiped everything down with Barisal
Lol
I'm trying to find a original German youth dagger
3 million Germans died at POWs in Russian camps not even mentioning how much died in US Camps (Reinwiesenlager) ... Thats what people never talk about
i have good replica
I have a genuine G felix / SA dagger stamp 22nm 598

One very long sales pitch just a peddler, not Collector or subject matter expert.
Hell yeah
I just cannot listen to the Australian accent raising the end of each sentence, it's so annoying.
