- www.isrtv.com presents our review of the GO GO Rocking chair by OMGIGHO. It's the rocker by day and then converts into a sim racing rig by night.
In this review, Shaun Cole got to sit down with Colin James the inventor of the GO GO and discuss how he came up with the idea. He also sits down with Colins business partner Marc Heberly to discuss logistics.
Finally Darin Gangi and Shaun review the GO GO and put it on the "REVS" or scoring scale and tell you the Pros and Cons of this new invention for us sim racers. Игры
Always the best videos / projects from you guys 👍
So great to see more and more innovation in the area of racing rigs. I'm very interested in this. Great stuff!
If you havent bought one yet, make sure you get a good warranty. I had two break down on me. But for the price, they are awesome. I have owned a G27, Fanatec GT3 RS and a Thurstmaster T500, and honestly the G25/27 is pretty good in comparison. But you do get what you pay for.
it's always cool to see someone bring their ideas to life. An interesting idea, good luck with the product bro.
I want one! Sad that I'm 3 years late...
What a sympathic guy this Colin is! And this Transformers-chair looks amazing...
nice review and a happy new year
If they can make one that's more of a desk chair than a rocking chair, then I'm sold.
Amazing design. Also love the way it is cut from one sheet, another cool aspect of the design.
Gives me some new ideas for diy in the future. Perhaps not a ROCKING chair, but a diy wood convertible chair/rig/laptop_station...
I will get one, looks fantastic!
Sort of like the one I'm designing for myself. It's a stand, but goes from GT mode into open wheel. But i really like the look of that,
holy crap this is an awesome idea :D
That is a pretty impressive design. I like that he used a free Google program to make it, rather than Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor.
He did that on google sketch up. I had trouble making my house and everything's square.
i want one soooooo bad! nice vid btw!:D
Shame this isn't around anymore. Clever, stylish design
Cool idea.
you guys should see if the fanatec wheels fit on it!
Good show.
I'd love one if it would fit the Fanatec Porsche Turbo S wheel and Club Sport pedals. Sounds like a great business opportunity for someone in Europe and Australia.
I love it, im usually the DIY guy. I wanna save money and also like designing stuff myself. But this is brilliant and i think i want one.
Great product, I must say. Worth the price...
this thing is pure genius
Wow~ what a great idea! We might see it as IKEA version in the future... global distribution with reasonable priced transformer furniture...camoflage for man cabe!
Even though I use a G27 and not a G25, I've run mine for more than 3 hours of hard drift use so on a truck sim where you're driving normally it shouldn't have an issue.
Awesome Idea, but I have 2 questions:
1) Shaun, what happened to your face?
2) How does the other guy's face look?
:)
Happy new Year and keep up the good work!
I'd love to have one of these! But since I live in Sweden, shipping alone would cost a small fortune... awesome design though!:)
That thing is awesome. Would be perfect for my "man cave."
Watch the whole show. It's mentioned a few times.
this is a must have cool design
I hear you on that. These guys would be better off just selling the plans...lol
holy shit I want that in my living room
hmm i like it, really nice idea, especially for those who need a rig to be multifunctional and fairly conservative where space is concerned. Of course the finish being would and a smaller budget company isn't as nice as a metal rseat or someting similar but I like it.
Do you still have contact with the designer? possibly send them a line that I would love to buy a blueprint set!
this thing is crazy
I def. think it would be perfect for the casual sim racer, or casual gamer (that wants a b*tchin gaming chair) but for a casual person the flat pack is probably not what they want, and the fully assembled version may be a bit to expencive for someone who wont be using it hours on end everyday. That said, I still want one, thinking about getting the flat pack, but holy hell... 40 hours to assemble? Just get a few friends over crack open a cold one, and bang it out in a day hehe. Nice review!
This is super cool but I'm afraid it would break during a drifting session or just getting caught up in a corner trying to correct. But could be nice
first of all great show guys
how long can you run the g25 before it will start to overheat as i am a racing sim fan and a truck sim fan and on the truck sims i could use it for about 3 hours at once
Gosh the flex, cool idea though.
I think that is the best sim rig on the market because of style!!!!
But i have one question, could it break with the time or the over use???
i wish i had one....damn
I see what darren has his monitor/tv mounted on there, looks like two stilts and a vesa backplate[or are those his speakers?], I need one of those.
Hey guys, I'm wondering which of these rigs that you have tested would be best for a PC gamer, not looking to use a wheel, but rather to use the rig with a keyboard and mouse for other games. To me it seems that the Obutto is the most accommodating, but would like your opinion on which is the most comfortable when using a mouse and keyboard for extended periods, or if you think this is even a good choice on my part at all. Thanks for your opinion/recommendation!
i guess the bald guy didn't have room for it next to the fancy red chair hehe ... Happy New Year b'ys ... lookin' forward to more hot laps ; )
Need a fanatec on looking to put a 360 in my room and would be the best way to not get a cockpit in the way
Hey, that's better than mine!
Have someone something like a blueprint?
I want to assembly something like GO-GO, but I don't have any dimensions.
I know that this project is a bit old, but it didn't lose its look like.
Sorry for my bad English, it's not my native.
that's very disappointing that they dont exist nowadays...
Take my money!
nice name
take my money sir !
TAKE MY MONEY NOW!
would this work with a csr wheel or just the g wheels?
They should offer to buy the Sketchup files for printing..
Great Show guys. but we still need a women with you 2. ;)
Happy New Year!
Any info on dimensions, weight, shipping?
Where can i found free plans for sim racing?
ok..how the hell do you buy one...website?
Hey prob better then the source brand wheel I have, man i want something better.
I loved this until 22.10...it moves!the wheel deck i mean!!! great idea and execution though
I heard they went out of business, do you guys have any way of contacting them? Maybe they can sell the blueprints and files for you to CNC the pieces. Shipping this world wide is really expensive, but since I live in a small apartment, this kind of seat would be really useful
Francisco Abad That is correct and we have no way to reach them, sorry.
ok, thanks!!
no mention of the price?
And here I am, stuck with a crappy Datel wheel. I wish I could afford better.
YEAH SEAHAWKS
You wrote "this" to my comment?
what game is that ?
How much? It's that I want for my "FORZA HORIZON"
I am from Mexico also can tell approximately how much it costs in dollars
The number of issues they'd have with people taking the purchased plans and selling then en mass? That's a terrible idea.
1 peso is about 15 american dollars, if that helps
A wife friendly product :o)
HI!
i n-e-e-d it.
here I am stuck with a mad katz mc2 wheel
nice rig , too expensive for me though...
how can i get free stickers???
WHY? WHY ARE THEY NOT FOR SALE ANYMORE, WHY
WHERE CAN I BUY THIS????????
The site has since been taken down, sadly...I found a link to what used to be the order page for the GO GO chairs, and it said that this online store was currently shut down.
Is it me or Darin looks a bit like Marc?
this is good how much it cost
willsonnss they are out of business
sad can you build one
+Inside Sim Racing This is super disappointing, this thing looks amazing.
$500 holy cow i can build this for $75-100... i mean how hard could it be to get the dimensions or think of one myself. nonetheless really good idea, just a stinger of a price.
Yeah, but even at that it's only compatible with PC and PS3, so I wouldn't be able to use it very often.
The logitch g27 isnt that expensive anymore
has anyone tried driving on GTA with a wheel, what is it like?
TheWargod56 the best
The seating position does not look very friendly to tall people.....
They have a good idea on the design. But the price is outrageous. It does not take a rocket scientist to make a chair very similar to this at all. for less then 300-400. Wood warps in time and wears. Also the steering deck needs to be reinforced way more then it is. It is very flimsy. Note: Not many gf's or wives will allow them to purchase something when they find out the price. I built my sim setup for around 75.00.
Could be nice with a cheap F1 seat.. playseat and rseats F1 seats cost alot of money :-/
other way around, my bad
this
Steering deck is just way to low
What?
Sorry but if gaming is a girlfriend deal breaker she needs to go
no it isnt it doent even have real force feedback
Inside Sim Racing Do you still have your GO GO? I know it wouldn't be the nicest move to do, buuuuut you could disassemble yours, scatch it,scan it and do the Internet a favour with something like blueprints.
It sure is some work, but i guess you could easily find some guys(incl. me) willing to donate some bucks for your work(not the plan).
Since there are no findings on any renewed patent-ids or publications for this i would assume Colin James wouldn't mind sharing an good invention...
I. Я. don Sorry, I sold it
that rigs looks pretty shaky ...its not solid enough
What is that crazy, party-scene ad supposed to be about? Almost every video I watch from ISR begins with it.
Is there a poit? A sponsor? A reason other than to annoy?
so genius to create the chair, so stupid for the company name...
Too bad they don't appear to be in business anymore. The future could've been even more interesting. Perhaps they would've designed a product that could serve BOTH racing and flight, interchangeably with ease.
Theres not a big enough sim racing community. Its why logitech never dumped a lot of money into producing high end steering wheels. With VR all these seats are useless.
How are these seats useless with VR? You still need a place to sit comfortably and have peripherals mounted correctly.
Well being someone who hasn't bought a seat has VR and sits comfortably and plays, its rendered useless.....lol. I guess if you want the "realistic feeling" then get one. Other then that, they are useless.
You probably have to set it up each time at your desk, and your foot pedals probably move when you break fast, no?
The pedals do not move since they have spikes on the bottom that anchor into the carpet. Its pretty easy taking the wheel on and off the desk and surely saves a lot of money! These seats are purely a gimic and can be built for cheap.
What a joke, good thing they're not around anymore.
What?
