I have listened to and watched Music and the Spoken Word since Richard L. Evans was the narrator, and I have
loved every broadcast. Brother Newell will be sorely missed, as, for me, each one of them has been. I am looking forward to the next years, few or many, that I know will be a blessing and a comfort to all those who listen and watch . May God bless Brother and Sister Newell in their new callings.

Thank you for all these amazing songs and the beautiful message of trusting the Lord. Yes changes come our way, but if we trust in God he will direct us to know what to do. Oh , how I needed it to hear this massage! It was an answer from my Heavenly Father, to accept the changes that I am facing in my life. I will go with faith and trust and let the Lord, to guide my new path in my life.
Will miss you greatly. I don’t handle change very wrell, thank you for years of great advice, and good luck in your new new endeavor.

Goodbye Brother Newell. You are someone whose voice and face has been part of my general church experience my whole life, beginning your service right around the time I was born. I didn't know if my memory as a tiny kid was accurate in remembering you because I didn't hear the choir much till I was older, but when I got old enough to realize more of what I did know, it made me happy to realize my brain hadn't made you up :) :) and I liked the choir and general conference better before I had testimonies of prophets because you were such a kind and wise soul; I definitely liked being part of something that would include someone like you. I think I also even thought your demeanor was what God was like and that was comforting. Thank you for representing Him.

My grandma has listened to every broadcast without fail, I never spent a Sunday at her house without hearing the choir sing and Brother Newell speak. As I’ve grown, there have been many reasons I haven’t been able to attend church every once in a while, and even a few years where my anxiety was so difficult that I couldn’t attend at all. But, every time, this broadcast has helped me stay close to God, to feel loved and seen by Him. Thank you. Words can’t express how grateful I am for the reminder of God’s love, as well as the reminder of my dear grandma, every time I watch this program. ❤️
I first heard brother Kinard as a boy, and it took awhile as a teenager in the early 90's to slowly realize why he sounded and looked... somehow... different (ha). Brother Newell, you have narrated for over 1/3 of the choir's broadcast history!
