- Coron Vs El Nido this video gives you the differences between them and why you should not miss out on Coron when you plan your Philippine travels.
Coron seems to be missed by the majority this is probably why it is still so beautiful and pure but head there fast as it wont be long before it starts to turn into El Nido.

The philippines is probably one of the most beautiful countries ive ever been. You should check out Isla Gigantes, Siargao and Canigao Island
Des Slye absolutely, it's not the best, but one of the best and the fun is in the local people also that you meet.
What other countries have you been to?

I’ve been to El Nido a few years ago and like it. Never heard of Coron then but hearing about it more now. I’m looking to go back . Great insight 👍🏽 well done on the vid.
Great, great, great explanation. Thanks!

We are going in El Nido on November this year. My husband will dive, me and my son like to island hopping, snorkeling and eat eat eat..
Great info. on both islands, Scott.Your observation is on point.I 'm going to Coron for the first time soon.thanks
thanks for sharing..
Awesome! Going to Coron soon!
good man... answers i needed.cheer
I love Coron, I think it's going to be my 3rd trip going there this month in the same year haha. Additional info about the diving in Coron, most of the scuba divers dive there to see the WWII Shipwrecks. Ever since I saw one of the shipwrecks there, I couldn't get enough (Irako, Kogyo Maru, Morazan Maru, Olympia Maru, also the small ones like East Tangat Gunboat and Skeleton Wreck). So if you're an avid diver like me, try diving into one of the ships when you go back to Coron! :D
I have been to El Nido last 2012, and I have loved it! I'll be meeting Coron on September, I'm soooo excOOOOiiited. :D
Boracay's total fun. Discotheque is free with only 1 euro big red horse. The DJ rocks and chix are everywhere if you're good at fishing.
So sad we had to miss Coron because I got appendicitis whilst in El Nido :( Definitely going to head back to the Philippines at some point. El Nido is just stunning so can't imagine how beautiful Coron is! Some useful tips. Thanks Scott! Yas
Really good summary :) very helpful!
Born and raised in Puerto Princesa. Been to Coron and El Nido a couple of times and I agree with your opinion. Will be going to Balabac soon, by then, will be able to compare it to the beaches of Coron and El Nido. Great video buddy!
Awesome Bro! Thank you for the schooling!
Thank you so much for the info!
Ive been to both places and they were beautiful
We are planning to go to coron in oct. Thanks for the info.
Hi mate, I know your dad Peter, just subscribed to your channel. Great video 👍🏾
It ’s a great video.
Very helpful video
Great info !!!
Very good video
In El Nido we were at Nacpan beach and there was awesome. Really. Living in the local house atc
Just went to coron, looking forward to el nido.
Been really enjoying your videos !! I am going to the Philippines next month and your videos have been really helpful. And have put my mind at ease about how to get around and where to go .
Hi! Thanks for considering my country. You might want to get ready for rainy days here in the Philippines though if you are coming in the months of June to December..
Thank you
Cool vid. Love how you explained your points. Now I want to go over there.
Thank you :)
One of the best videos i have seen this month. Good tips, now I will book my ticket to coron from manila. Regards from Mexico

Thanks so much man for the details provided. I will be going to Palawan in October and you have helped me make my choice to go to Coron.
Awesome, you will love Coron :)
agree...the locals in Coron are the most gentle people in the world. i love Coron as well. I'm going there again next week
Good for you, I’m a filipino but you know the Philippines better than me. Thanks for the advice. I’ll for sure go to coron
thanks dude
October 2016 i will visit puerto princesa & El nido and i like to have 2 days at coron so i will not miss anything 😎
Many thanks, Scotty! As we can't visit both, u've helped us make up our mind. It's coron!
good choice :)
going in 2 weeks I think will try Coron
Beaches in the Philippines becomes crowded once School year ends during the month of March and ends in June.
I've been in Puerto last year and in El Nido just a week ago. And i would say that its both great place. But if you are looking for peace and calmness El Nido is way beyond. You should try El Nido Cove its 20-30 minutes drive away from the town but the place is awesome. Great services, foods and accommodation and fyi don't assume the internet is great. Just love the place! Next trip will be in Coron! (y) Way to go guys!
I'm planning my vacay leaving next month May and can't decide yet which is which? Either Coron or El Nido? But good tips for u guys I know exactly my perfect destination. Great tips everyone. #Than'x much from Goodyear Arizona USA
Go to Dinagat Island and Lyte across, it's more beautiful. It's just not explore yet, but it's in youtube. It's more beautiful for snorkeling because it is close to Pacific Ocean going to Australia.
exactly. dont miss coron... its my fave place in phils, along with siquijor and bohol
I LOVE THE PHILIPPINES :)
Thanks so much for the insight and thought it was real interesting. came from el nido just a few weeks ago and going to coron next march
Speaking of dates, what months did you visit el nido and coron?
Tnx
Not easy to visit both. Needs lots of time if you visit the two islands. We have done Coron. I love Coron it's more exciting to discover
Hey Scotty! Big thanks for an awesome video! How many days would you recommend to stay on Coron and El Nido? I'm gonna be in Manila in the end of July. I arrive on Friday at 13:25 and I have my flight back home on Thursday early morning. So in total I have 5 full days. I'm thinking to visit Coron or El Nido. Or maybe it makes sense to stay 2 days in Coron and then take a fast boat to El Nido and come back to Manila from there? Thank you for your video! Keep up the good work!
Would you recommend Cebu and travel from Cebu to Coron? Looking at a family vacation for 5 of us (3 kids in their teens) and wanting chill island hopping but really want a central of operations.
Coron is my secret hideout!
liked
visit caramoan group of islands..
Now i will go to Coron!👍🏽
You won't regret it :)
UdaosLife been there last month... coron is synonymous to paradise
I flew in Princessa, then went to Port Barton then El Nido took ferry to Coron then flew to Clark, was a blast, Next time I am going to reverse that route. Any one wants to go next October, PM me.
I love Coron
i was in Palawan January-February 2012....my guess is that El Nido isn't as crowded as in late May.....i can't deal with the crowds and plan on coming back to Palawan this Jan and maybe to make the move to live in the Philippines
You lucky duck such an amazing place have fun and stay safe :)
How many days would you recommend staying at each town?
Just spent a week each in Coron and El Nido. Coron is less touristed and slightly less expensive, but El Nido has more spectacular island geology. There is more to do in El Nido, and the local beaches are good. Coron does not have good local beaches that are close to town. Diving is good in both places, but probably a little better in Coron, especially for wrecks.
you should try Tao Expedition if you want to explore the unexplored part of coron
at 3:12 if you are coming for a party its el nido.....lots of bands loud music....then its 3:23 'go to el nido as its a lot more chilled'? which is it? Did you mean Coron 2nd time around?
My flight went right from Manila to El Nido (Lio Beach). The airport was nothing more than a runway and small building.
And what about the security ? Both places ate Good to travel with family?
Youve missed to visit Boracay too and Gigantes Island of carles
Boracay madumi. maingay! maraming scammers.
Hi man! Thank you very very much for your video. We have just booked our flight from Italy to Manila and I was booking the flight from Manila to El Nido. But after your video I think we are going to change our plans and go to Coron! We would like to see something more than a turistic place, we would like to see their culture and the real Philipphines.
Now I'm searching for a cheap accomodation, can you reccomend us wich part of the island is better? In the south part of the island in front of Uson Island? Thank you very much, we will write you how was it!!
We stayed here, it is very basic but we had a great time here and the owners are lovely. Stay that side of the island as it's the best place to go island hopping from. Have a great trip :)Kaba Kaba Hostel: www.hostelworld.com/hosteldeta...
I have been to El Nido and Coron, for me there’s no comparison at all except the transportation. You can fly direct to Coron, while in El Nido, you need to use Puerto Princessa and travel 6 hrs by land BUT you have a chance to see UNDERGROUND RIVER. I do recommend 6 days and 4 days for El Nido & Coron, respectively, AND BOOK THRU WEBSITES BEFORE GOING TO THESE PLACES.. VERY SAFE AND FRIENDLY PEOPLES and/or TOURIST GUIDES. Use life vest & beach shoes if necessary. it’s addicting.
Emmanuel Morales Swift Air has direct flights from Manila to El Nido
im going there alone:)
This video is totally correct. CONGRATULATIONS FOLKS
i like El Nido better than Boracay.
I never went to Boracay but everyone I talked to about it said It was good for a night or two and that's it
The package tours turn these places into theme parks... Mindless tourist following the crowd. But El Nido can still be charming, even if take none of the tours.
Too bad we don't have direct flights from El Nido to Coron and vice versa. Have to fly back to Manila to catch another flight. Taking the ferry is the other option but I am not that adventurous enough just yet :) I appreciate your comparison.
Honestly 2go ferry company is really good you will be surprised how good the boats are :)
Scotty Does they have fast craft boat vice versa
coron to elnido or other way around everyday...its a montenegro shipping lines..its take 4 to 5hours...
6:43 the rooster sing
Good comparison. The internet is really the "kill joy" in the country. The internet in general is very slow int he Philippines. Even in Manila if you subscribe to any of the Mobile Data the telecoms are offering they all suck. If you are in a decent hotel, you can get a decent WiFI from there, but of course, you are a tourist and you want to be online while you are out and about, that's why you wanna go for the mobile data. Unfortunately, they all suck.4G is not everywhere even in the capital Manila.
Thank you :) glad you liked it
We were staying in a nice hotel in El Nido and I notice the internet was not working, so, went to the front desk to offer my service (since I'm a network engineer) to fix there network. But the lady at the front desk said, "Sir, there's nothing wrong with the network connection but I'll send Fred to buy a LOAD!!!" I said, "What Load?" Apparently, they buy load to keep their network working. Hahaha ...next if goes out again I'll just talk to Fred!
manie fernandez unfortunately here in our country, telecom and internet are monopolized by 2 giant networks Globe and Smart. Telstra and other intl companies are eyeing us, but these 2 local giants are againts the idea of having to compete with them. So we Filipinos are now suffering from high cost and bad services from these 2.
Palawan wins 😂😍😍😍
You should have visited bohol in pangalan island
correct
Are there island hoping tours like in El Nido & Coron? And how would you compare the beaches?
hire a private boat. you will enjoy the serenity.
Is your surname "Does"? Funny 'cause there's a Filipina actress/model with the name Wilma Doesnt. Imagine if a Does marry a Doesnt... either a clash or opposites attract case :)
No that's not my surname hahaha
hahaha!
Where did you stay at Coron?
Check out Aly's videos you will find it there :)
broken
el nido sells food 3 times more expensive than the food in coron.
I would suggest you need to see a bit more of the Philippines before suggesting one place is 'one of the best places in the philippines'. You may be correct but having visited only 4(?) places, you're not really in a position to decide yet.
+Andrew Mack I agree with what you are saying but it's the best place that I have been to here in the Philippines.
And speaking to a lot of fellow travellers that only go to El Nido I thought I would promote Coron as in my opinion it blows El Nido out of the water. ☺
Ur hot Scotty.
Thanks :)
+Scotty Does 😘😘😘
Sorry bro, I disagree on comparing El Nido and Coron, People were nice when we went to Puerto Princesa, El Nido and Coron. I have not met people in Palawan that has bad attitude yet. This is just my opinion and my experienced from last week and this week.
He never said people were not nice in El Nido..he just said they're more exposed to tourists..everyone wants to make money of tourism and of course they would try to sell what they can to tourists..it nothing negative
@@krystinea8371 - that's why i said it's just my opinion alright.
